We were very disappointed with our experience here. This used to be a great place to grab lunch, but our last visit will be just that. The service was poor and slow, and the food was definitely not worth the price. There must have been some major changes recently, because there is definitely a difference in the finished product. The hot sandwiches were cold, and the cold sandwiches were room temperature or warmer. A tuna club should be cold, ours was on the warm side, as if it had been under the heat lamp waiting for pick-up. We would have been much happier going down the street to Burger King or Wendy's.

John's Plain & Fancy is absolutely the best restaurant in Quakertown, and if you're travelling along the PA Turnpike it's worth driving a few miles off the highway to eat here.



The food is absolutely fantastic, the service is great, and the restaurant is very clean. On a recent ten day business trip to the area, I ate dinner at John's Plan & Fancy seven out of the nine nights I was there. It's THAT GOOD!



Don't let the negative reviews on here steer you away from John's Plan & Fancy. Fact is people are more likely to go to the Internet to write a negative review than they are to write a positive one. So don't hesitate to stop in and grab a bite at John's Plain & Fancy. I know you'll be very happy!

This place is your typical diner look alike, but the service i have had was far from typical. in fact it was horrible. They are open 24hrs a day, but I could go across the street to Quakertown Family Restaurant and have a far better meal at a far better price. They are the only ones open on Christmas day, but thier prices are 2-3 times as much. what a rip off
