George Miller s a terrific plumber. He always responds to my calls very fast, even on a holiday. He has done a wide variety of plumbing work for me - new installations of fixtures with some smart venting solutions, replaced a well bladder tank, installed a sewage ejection system pump up system, and most recently helped me quickly diagnose a well problem so that I was able to have the well pump replaced the next day. He is a licensed plumber and an excellent problem solver, and takes the time to explain fully the reasoning of how he is assessing the problem. Using pictures on the cell phone, we were able to communicate fine points of checking the components during a no water situation and sleet on the roads. He even left some control boxes for me on the way to another job to help me be sure that the problem was the well pump. He is very efficient and generous with his time and advice, and his prices are very fair. He has always found a way to help me out in an emergency. I highly recommend George. He's a very nice guy and really cares to help solve all kinds of plumbing problems.

Wow, I see bad reviews on here, but it seems to me that it's just the folks that want something for free. We had a TON of work done by Mr. Miller. Heating, plumbing, water conditioning, and regular maintenance . He knows his business like no other. Most plumbers I have dealt with don't keep up with technology like Mr. Miller does, he told us about the latest available technologies in plumbing, heating, and controls. He knew all the current construction codes, and safety codes. He is not just sticking pipes together. He analyzed our water, and determined that the acidity was off, so he recommended a treatment system which has ELIMINATED all the random pipe leaks we used to have. He even found old shoddy repairs, and poorly designed plumbing in our home. He made proper repairs, which made a huge difference in the performance and efficiency of our systems. He was also very responsive to our communications. You can see he followed up with the bad review on here. He cares about his work.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We try hard to "go the extra mile" for everyone we do work for. Many people promise to leave a review after telling me that they are very happy with the work, but most don't follow through. I guess you're right about some people expecting a contractor with a high overhead, such as a licensed plumber to work for free.

The work you speak of was done a year & 4 months prior to your call. I don't know what was broken but it's hard to believe that a new pipe or joint could just let go after all that time. I didn't repipe the entire house. I only replaced a couple of pieces of pipe. You have been replacing your filter on a regular basis and could have put too much stress on the lines. Your son told me that your neighbor connected a temporary water line to your system so you could have water during the blackout just prior to your call. You or he likely caused whatever break occurred. I offered to come out on a Sunday to repair it for you for $150 but you thought I should do it for free (after a year and 4 month's). I'm a fair guy but what you asked for is highly unreasonable. You have my number if you'd like to discuss it further. Sincerely, George L Miller

Total rip-off artist!! Do NOT hire this guy! He charged $150 to unclog a toilet, which by his own admission he did do!

I specifically asked you if you could be having a septic or main line stoppage since I did not have a machine with me and couldn't help if that were the case. It was already late afternoon when you called. You said that a septic man told you that the main line was clear. I also asked if any other fixtures were effected (indicating more than single fixture problem). You said no. When I got there I found that the shower was also backing up when sinks were run or the toilet was flushed. I tried repeatedly to clear it with an extra long auger but couldn't reach it. As it turned out it was definitely a main line problem. After tracing the main drain I told you it would need to be snaked with a power machine (which I didn't have with me). You said you had to have it cleared that night since you were having company the next day even though the other bathroom was not effected by this problem. I suggested that you try an emergency drain clearing company if you couldn't wait. By the way I only charged you $100 after spending 2 hours on your job (not $150).

Defective Boiler

We are extremely pleased with this company. We called Mr. Miller for an estimate to

replace a defective boiler (installed by the oil company last year). There was a puddle of water under the boiler since it was installed. At first the oil company said it was spilled water & would dry up. It never did. Then after repeated calls they finally told us the boiler was defective and was under warranty. They could get us a new boiler but we would have to pay the labor to have it installed again ($1800). When Mr. Miller looked at it he discovered a plug near the bottom (hidden by the metal covering) had never been tightened. He tightened it & it stopped leaking! I wish we called him to install it in the first place. We switched oil companies also.

We had George back recently to install a faucet. He did a great job as usual. He asked how much oil we are using now with the new boiler he put in about a little over year ago. I knew it was less, but when I actually checked my receipts I was surprised to see that it was just about half of what we had been using annually! He did a beautiful job on it and we have great hot water since the installation. I’m so glad we found him!

We were very happy with the prompt; professional service provided by this company. They were able to replace my tub faucet from the closet behind the tile wall. Another company wanted to open the tile leaving us with the need for an expensive tile repair. We would probably never match the color either. Mr. Miller was the only one to even offer this option. He even replaced the wall board in the closet. We are very pleased & would not hesitate to recommend this company.
