Harrelson School, located in Puryear, Tenn., offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 550 students. The school offers music, art, band and piano classes. Harrelson School is one of the few schools in the Henry County area that has a synergistics science lab. The lab offers computerized science stations on topics, such as electricity, space, rocketry and weather. The school is also one of the few schools in the Henry County area that offers music with the Yamaha MIE, a computerized music program in which all the students are taught to use a music keyboard. The students are also offered participation in football, softball, basketball, soccer, beta club, propectors' club, chorus, band, Helping Hand, Relay for Life, and other school and community projects.
