The Pueblo West Metropolitan District was created on September 16, 1969. Located at Pueblo West, Colo., the district is a quasi-municipal political subdivision. It is a planned community with covenants, which are enforced by the Committee of Architecture. The District carries out services, such as street and road improvement and maintenance; fire protection and emergency medical response. It also performs park/recreation operation, maintenance and support; water supply, treatment and distribution as well as wastewater collection and treatment services.
