Took my 2001 Honda Prelude in for a new clutch and some general maintenance,tune-up and timing belt, and these guys have earned me as a customer for life. they were very upfront and honest, and definitely had my back during the whole process. I paid exactly what was quoted, and they really went above and beyond in their quality of work. if you are looking for an honest, hardworking mechanic shop look no further. Very satisfied. Good customer service. Highly recommended.

I was extremely satisfied with Willy and his local shop. Took my Isuzu Axiom in to get the registration renewed. He was very professional and went the extra mile to make sure everything was explained correctly and done to my satisfaction. Japanese Auto Repair most definitely earned my business. Happy to say I've found my local mechanic shop!

Took my 2005 Toyota Camry here after discovering there was coolant leaking from my radiator.

I was helped by Will. he was friendly and courteous and it seemed he gave us a very fair price on the part that need to be done. The car was ready when it was supposed to be and communication was clear all throughout the repair process.

I short,a+ was easy to work with and we would definitely return !! thanks !!

Stay Away From This Place

During the winter of 2013 my van had no power. I took it to Japanese Auto and had a bad feeling about the owner because he said that the van had a very complex problem when he hadn't even looked at it. He never called me to tell me what problem he had found so I decided to pay for the diagnostic and take my van. Well, that's when things got nasty because he wanted me to pay for the repairs and I just wanted to take it to someone else. He finally agreed to let me pay for the diagnostic and take it. Upon trying to drive it away from the place I noticed I had no brakes! These guys are sleazy! How could I demand they leave my car the way I brought it? I wanted them not to touch it ever again. They diagnosed two problems that didn't exist and never bothered to tell my that they disconnected a hose from my breaks. Plus, they are expensive! Sleazy and expensive service.

This place is very professiona...

This place is very professional and also has the best prices in the area....I've taking my Subaru for the last 3 years and never had any problems. Just today I was also able to do my safety and emission tests and right there I was able to get my sticker, I told Willy this is very convenient for people like me, who on weekends like to spend time at home instead of going to get my car fixed.

This place is very professional and the prices are very, very competitive. I had problems with my car when it broke down coming back home from a family reunion, I was able to get it fixed at Japanese Auto repair and in no time I wa sback in the road heading home.

What Student Discount?

I'm seriously considering filing a complaint with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection for false and misleading advertising. These people advertise a 10% student discount for BYU and UVU students, but when it's time to pay the bill they make excuses and refuse to give a discount.

I like this mechanic Japanese ...

I like this mechanic Japanese Auto Repair.I ran my 2002 Honda Accord, was replaced the Clutch kit for 50% less price than other car repairs.I'm so happy to find this place, they are honest and do not do any unnecessary work. They can beat the dealership on big jobs and maintenance,i like them for any large repairs.Very competent certified mechanics for Japanese cars. They are very nice to deal with.Quick with repair also.I would highly suggest their service.

A job well done

I'm surprised to see the bad reviews. I have used Japanese Auto repair twice and have found them honest, reliable and to do good work. I guess it depends on your expectations. I have a 2000 Honda Prelude which I normally have had serviced at a Honda dealer. I bought the car new, and believe in the idea that it is worth paying for good maintenance. I'm not looking for the cheapest job, but good quality work that will keep this car running well for several more years. The model isn't made anymore. There were a number of issues that had to be resolved including a cracked catalytic converter. Japanese auto correctly diagnosed the issues (which I was pretty certain about for a number of reasons), made the repairs, completed a full service, provided parts to my specification at reasonable prices. I felt that the total price was fair, especially in comparison with what I would pay at the dealership in San Francisco. I'm fussy about this vehicle, and I'm pleased with the service provid

Car not fixed appropriately

I took my to fix the up and down idling and they told me that I needed to change the intake manifold. Well, car worked for 8 months and the same problem happened. I am quite disappointed as they have used a junk yard parts for an issue where brand new would allow me to drive without problems for a long time. They made recommendations telling me that the junk parts they had would be just like the new parts. Well, the problem did go away for 8 months, but then the same issue again. I feel I was just mislead by their practices of using junkyyard parts. Now, to fix it again, they want more $. What a way to bring customers back on the same issue.
