I have been Whale Watching a lot in Cape Cod in the past, and have always had a great experience. This year we decided to try a private whale watch with SeaSalt Charters out of Provincetown. It was like nothing I could have imagined. Being so low down and have the whales swim by the boat , it was almost as if we were swimming with them. Since it was private, we had plenty of space to ourselves, no fighting for a good camera shot. Captain Avellar's knowledge of the whale behavior really shows, on more than one occasion it seemed like he knew what the whales were going to do before they did. If you are thinking about treating yourself to an extra special treat while on vacation in Cape Cod, you should definitely consider a private whale watch with SeaSalt Charters.

No comparison between seeing the whales from a big boat and seeing the whales from SeaSalt's charter boat! It's a whole new kind of whale watch and I've never gotten closer to the whales before or had such a relaxing whale watch away from the crowds.

We went out for an early morning whale watch in May and it couldn't have been better. Capt. Avellar got us right on the whales, and we saw jumping and feeding, and a lot of whales right over the side! the kids had a great time too - the boat is very nice and the captain was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them, and i hear you can't find a better fishing charter in town - we will have to try that this summer!
