After signing up for one of their classes, of which I paid in advance and quite a lot for this class, I explained in great detail to the owner lady I was taking care of a family member with cancer. I asked if she could please send me email or phone reminders so when the date comes (it was a month or so out) I would be ready as I am making frequent visits to the Mayo Clinic in phoenix. Not only did I never get reminders, but on the day of, I just got into town late from the clinic (less than an hour) and she called to not only scold me for being late, but that I would not be admitted in the class and had forfeit any refund. I asked to makeup the hour, another day, anything. All harshly denied. I Re-explained my situation. Didn't matter. They not only kept my whole deposit without refund, but tried to sell me another class at 50% off with a wait of a full year! I will say again, these classes are not cheap! I tried to reason and work with them to no avail. My point was to her and the reason I am telling you is that if she could call me on the day of, why not remind me earlier? Why spend all this energy harassing me? Why not work something out with me? They kept the money - hell, store credit would have been nice, even a partial refund. Well, I ended up also just letting my membership lapse, and after a few not so nice calls again from her on that, I refuse to go back. I was a premium member too - but I guess they get enough business that didn't matter to them. Anyway, I am apologizing to all my friends whom I recommended to go there. We'll go to Prescott instead.
