Normally I don't post reviews, but I ran across the negative review on Prescott Import Car Service and just had to contradict it. My wife and I have brought them our Lexus cars and SUVs exclusively for the past 10 years. Best auto service we have ever received, hands down, anywhere. Great people, knowledgable, fair, flexible, and dedicated. Just an exceptional business.

I really wanted to work with this shop. Unfortunately the service is abysmal. When I first came to them they were courteous and very professional. I even bought a car from them for my daughter who has just begun college.
I had a couple of my cars serviced and things were OK. Then things fell apart. I had a recurring issue with my VW TDI air conditioning and asked that they replace just the Coolant Sensor as this is a common problem with this model. The mechanic yelled at me telling me I didn't know what I was talking about and refused to change it instead wanted to change the entire compressor at the tune of 800.00 dollars.
In the meantime my daughters VW has been riddled with problems. I finally took it to another shop where they performed a diagnostic of the entire car and it needs approximately 4000.00 dollars worth of repairs. We bought the car as a Christmas present and the brakes a completely gone.

I've been going to Prescott Import since 2008 and am very pleased with the service and honest customer service especially. I plan to keep my Beetle and I trust their service and future service recommendations. thank you guys.

Efficient, fair priced and honest

These folks came recommended by my next door neighbor Tony. I have been dealing with them for a number of years. They are pleasant, timely in their repairs and their prices are fair. I would strongly recommend them!

The Volvo owner called us and said the shop where his car had been sitting for severals months had gone out of business while he was saving money to get it fixed. He asked how much we would charge to fix his wire harness and I replied I couldn't tell without seeing the car. He stated that the car didn't run and the other shop was going to fix it for $150.00. We know that Volvo's made it the 80's and early 90s had a frequent problem with the insulation on the wiring for the engine, crumbling and falling off leaving bare wires exposed. I told the man that worst case it may need the entire engine wire harness which could cost $400.00 or more just for the parts. The man seemed upset that it might cost so much so I sugested he might want to inquire at an auto electrical shop that was a hundred yards further down the street from where his car was now. My thought was that it would be an easy way to get a second opinion and since the car didn't run they would be able to drag it over with anoth

Refused to repair, overpriced

Had a volvo that needed repair, guy quoted me more than $400 in parts alone, when I had been quoted by another shop $150 for the entire job, and then Prescott Import Car Service told me that they "weren't interested in working on this car." They seem to be very elitist and only willing to work on cars from people they can take advantage of, and ask way more than what is worth to fix the car.
