The shop has provided good repairs at a reasonable price. They have repaired various belts and shoes for us over the years.

I went into the shop today needing an immediate repair to the holder for my medical pump. They put everything aside to help me and fixed it better than when I got it brand new. They really saved the day!!

American Boot and Shoe Repair is expensive, the proprietor is rude, and does not stand by his work.



I paid $75 to have my favorite pair of boots repaired. Within 3 months of the repair the soul was completely falling off one of the shoes; it clearly had not received the proper attention. When I brought my boots back into ABSR, the proprietor wanted to charge me again to do the stitching that should have been the first time.



When I pointed out that one of the boots I had paid $75 to repair was in great shape and the other was completely falling apart, I told him I was not going to pay him again for the work that had not been done the first time. In vernacular fitting for a cobbler, he told me to "Take a hike".



Needless to say I won't be returning to ABSR and I would highly discourage anyone from wasting their money at such an unprofessional shop.

Brought my shoes in to fix a side strap. I was told the repair was simple, they would place a patch on the inside of the strap and it would look nice. I picked up the shoes a few days later, only to see the strap had been hand stitched and looked horrible. When I voiced my concern, he didn't care that I was dissatisfied and collected payment. I will never use this business again.

Brought my shoes in for new heel soles. The replace heel was only glued on askew. The soles were not nailed -just glued. Further the "new" sole did not fit the boots heel. In the process they scuffed the three inch heel. We asked that they slice off the overage of the sole and remove the dripped glue and fill in the gaped area they left between the heel and the sole. We were told that they could not repair their damage too my boots as a result of Their!!! inept workmanship. NOW I/M STUCK WITH Very Sloppy repair and damage to my $300.00.boots. I was charged $12.00 .

I went to pick up my boots, he charged me 12.00 for the worst mending job I've ever seen. Instead of an apology or refund, he tells me with attitude, "Are you putting down my workmanship"? I told him I was disappointed and dissatisfied. I got several opinions from people who agreed with me that it was just glued. I will never go there again, as well as family and friends.

They did an awesome job at saving my dr martens at repairing all the broken stitching. Fast services and great prices A++
