I am new to the area and the endodontist my dentist referred me to was not in network, my dentist had no other recommendations and left me on my own to find someone who could help me immediately as it was an emergency. An old root canal had abscessed and I was in a lot of pain, of course this happened on Good Friday and I had to wait until Monday to do anything about it other than take the antibiotics and pain meds the dentist prescribed. I called several dental groups and was surprised when I wasn't really taken seriously... sorry can't get you in until next week or 3 wks from now, nothing we can do, sorry... seriously??? I was stunned at the lack of caring and compassion.
The next call I made was Dr Zimmerman's office. The receptionist was very understanding and within a few minutes told me to get there as soon as possible and they would fit me in. Wow! Finally someone who cared and was willing to help. The procedure took just under 2 hrs, remove the old root canal and do another. I felt a tiny pinch with the first shot and felt absolutely nothing with the other 3 shots or during the entire procedure. Usually i feel something, pressure of some sort. (I'm 60 and have had my share of dental procedures).
Dr Zimmerman was extremely gentle and slow with the shots and with the entire procedure which involved a lot of instruments. He was able to remove the old root canal material and re-do it. It's obvious he is very skilled and has a nice manner that puts you at ease during a very nerve-wracking procedure. (I'm a white-knuckle kind of person with any dental issue).
His dental assistant was very nice, kind and re-assuring as well. It's obvious Dr Zimmerman has staff in place that reflect his values and caring, professional mindset. This practice deserves a 10+ rating! I highly recommend if you are in need of a dental procedure, THIS is the only place to go. Many thanks to Dr Zimmerman and his staff for their care during this difficult situation.
