Writing this on behalf of my elderly father, Roger Reed was hired to replace some old cast iron drain pipes and put back in PVC piping. Mr. Reed was given the job and started within a couple of days. He had asked for an advance of the payment, to purchase materials. Everything was going fine, he gave my father a story about his house being in foreclosure, so dad gave some more money, towards the total amount of the job.
He ended up with more stories and needed more money for materials, until he had the whole amount of job. ( And yes, he knows he shouldn't have gave him the money, but he has a good heart and felt bad for the young man.) Now after a month, leaving his septic tank exposed, he has not come back to finish or will not return any calls. Anderson Co. Sheriff office has been notified and will be investigating him for fraud.
Do not hire this man for any work, or if you do, do not pay until job is complete. It is a shame that people take advantage of the elderly folks and they even live in your community. Would not recommend for any work !!!!!
