Founded in 1957, Dutchess BOCES provides a wide variety of educational programs and support services to children and adults who reside in Dutchess County, N.Y. The organization serves a student base of more than 46,000 pupils. It provides adult education through a career and learning center, certified nursing programs, literacy programs, health care training, training in office skills and trade certifications. It also provides alternative education programs that include alternative high school, treatment programs and itinerant services. The organization offers career and technical education in the arts and humanities, business information systems, environmental science, engineering and technology, health services, and human and public services.
