The Portsmouth Herald, a newspaper based in Portsmouth, N.H., is published seven days a week. The newspaper is a subsidiary of Ottaway Newspapers, which is based in Campbell Hall, N.Y. Ottaway Newspapers is the community newspaper subsidiary of Dow Jones & Company. Dow Jones acquired the company in 1970. Ottaway publishes more than 20 daily and weekly newspapers and other publications along the East Coast. Each Ottaway paper is locally edited and published.
