The Creative Wellness Studio was born out of our observation that the healing process and the creative process can often parallel one another. Our shared passion for working with survivors of trauma and our creative inclinations led us to develop this space where our mission is to creatively, thoughtfully and compassionately empower people to create order out of the chaos before them. Our values include: Creativity, Adaptivity, Possibility, Integrity, Empowerment, Compassion, Innovation, Humility, and Connection. Our combined experience includes working with at risk youth and their families, domestic and sexual violence survivors, and individuals in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. These experiences fostered a firm foundation in trauma-informed care and strengths-based approaches, as well as a passion for authentic, collaborative working relationships with each and every client. Building on this foundation, we infuse creative approaches with evidence-based practice to empower survivors as they heal. We offer complementary 30 minute consultations over the phone or in person because we understand how important it is to find a counselor with whom you feel you have a good fit. We offer sliding scale fees and we will be accepting insurance soon. We are happy to discuss how we can best support you at the consultation.
