I'm a K9 behaviorist in the Sellwood neighborhood. I was walking my dog by this facility today and their dogs started going nuts behind the glass displaying territorial behavior. I decided to use that instability as a distraction to train my own dog to ignore that kind of behavior and focus on me. A couple minutes into our training, the MANAGER of this establishment came out and told me to leave because, "the barking (of her own dogs) is driving [her] crazy". I told her that as a MANAGER of a dog boarding facility, I would hope that she would be able to manage the behavior of the dogs that she chooses to provide services to. She said that, "I was teasing the dogs", called me profane names, then stormed back inside of her facility. WOW. Needless to say, I would NEVER consider boarding a dog here. Her dogs were charging the glass, nipping each other in hierarchical displays, and she had NO IDEA how to manage it. That place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. In fact, if anyone has EVER had their dog injured there, I would consider taking legal action because the staff has no idea what they are doing and an injury would not have occurred if they were competent in their said area of expertise. BE WARNED AND TAKE YOUR DOG FOR BOARDING SOMEWHERE SAFE!
