Founded in 1975, the Lions Eye Bank of Oregon is a nonprofit organization located in Portland, Ore. It is an eye bank that provides tissue for transplants and research and medical education in Oregon and Clark County, Washington. The organization investigates various diseases, such as macular degeneration and glaucoma that causes blindness. The Lions Eye Bank of Oregon also conducts research on problems that affect retina, lens and other remaining structures of the eye. It has partnership with the Lions Eye Bank of Oregon, Devers Memorial Eye Institute and Casey Eye Institute. The Lions Eye Bank of Oregon is accredited by the Eye Bank Association of America.
