Dr. William Ross KingDr. is the founder of King Chiropractic SE in Portland, Oregon. He has over 40 years of experience treating and caring for his patients. He started his health care career while in the Air Force as a Physical Therapy Technician as well as a Surgical and Emergency Room Technician. While Still in the Air Force he became a specialist working with military athletes, progressing to becoming an Athletic Trainer.While Dr. King was attending the University of Massachusetts during the day and working as a hospital orderly at night, he developed an ulcer. His medical doctor recommended surgery for the ulcer when the prescribed pharmaceuticals failed to work. A friend suggested he see a chiropractor for a second opinion. After four treatments and some dietary changes, Dr. King was cured. This was the turning point for Dr. King's health care career. Instead of attaining a medical degree he decided to become a Chiropractic Physician.With six children in tow, Dr. King came to Oregon to attend Western States Chiropractic College. After graduating from Western States Chiropractic College he became an Associate Professor. The Pacific Northwest became a permanent home for the King family. King Chiropractic has been located in Portland for more than 30 years. A new addition to the clinic is Dr. King's daughter. Annmarie King-Tarr, D.C. is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. She is a Chiropractic Physician and is accepting new patients.Dr. King-Tarr was introduced to alternative medicine at a young age. She has worked with her father at King Chiropractic Clinic for over 25 years as a certified Chiropractic Assistant, an x-ray tech and as an office manager. Through this exposure she soon developed a passion for promoting health and wellness. She then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition at Oregon State University. To further her ability to promote health and wellness in the Portland community, Dr. King-Tarr attended Western States Chiropractic College, graduating in spring of 2009. She has become a valuable addition to King Chiropractic Clinic and is now accepting new patients. She specializes in nutrition, whole body wellness and extensively utilizes her sports background in her practice.Dr. King-Tarr attained a 4th Degree Black Belt in and was a Chief Instructor for many years. She taught Taekwon-Do, Hapkido and martial arts weapons for over 10 years. She is a regular practitioner of Bikram yoga, an avid bicycler and hiker. Dr. King-Tarr is married to Will Tarr and resides in Vancouver, Washington. She is the proud step mother of two beautiful, young adults, Katarina Tarr and Connor Tarr. She maintains that nothing can improve ones outlook on and capacity for life like practicing a balanced and healthy lifestyle, paying attention to the body, mind and spirit.James KingJames King is the son of Dr. King and has been a fixture of the King Chiropractic Clinic for more than 20 years. His friendly, personal touch to the front and back office are indispensable to the clinic. James is the father of two beautiful girls. Amanda is 14 years old and Maizy is 4 years old. James, his wife Mollie and the two girls recently moved to a 6 acre farm in Sandy, Oregon.Andi has been with the King Chiropractic Clinic for more than 20 years. Andi and her husband Jeff Christianson are enjoying the retired life and their 8 grand children. Andi is a regular volunteer for various charities, belongs to a knitting club and a book club. Andi is fluent in Spanish and is a fun, outgoing addition to the clinic.Holly has been with the King Chiropractic Clinic for over a year performing massage therapy on clients in need. Holly graduated from Centennial High School in 2006 and participated in the varsity track program, lettering all four years in javelin and discus. I was rear ended in a car accident. The accident re-injured a prior back condition. The pain was bad enough that I was seeing pain specialists. I had to quit my job for a while. I could no longer hike or do any other fun activities.I heard about your office from my sister in low. Thanks for making me feel better. You have a terrific staff.
