They saw a woman walk in the door and saw $$$.
They quoted me $9k for an entire new air-conditioning system and drive shaft in my diesel truck. Took it to ford for second opinion and was charged $100 for a recharge. The drive shaft replacement was simply a $200 u-joint.
That is quite the profit margin they have.
Some of the 5 star comments here describe their behavior perfectly-

"even ended up saving me some money off the original estimate" of course they can afford to pretend to give you a discount when their making thousands of dollars on unnecessary repairs

"These guys are very comprehensive, they will go above and beyond finding what you need"- yes they will go above and beyond what you need, wanting to replace entire systems when a simple recharge would have sufficed.

Steer clear of this place!
Dishonest price gouging with a false "friendly" salesman up front trying to make you believe they are slashing prices just because they like you.

I took my 2008 Chevy Duramax in to AG Automotive when it was having some hard start and engine misfire issues. Turns out I needed new glow plugs and also had some bad wiring issues. AG took care of my truck quickly and even ended up saving me some money off the original estimate. AG stayed in constant communication with me while my truck was there and took care of it quickly and professionally. AG had been recommended to me based on their Diesel expertise and they lived up to their billing. The cost and professionalism were just an added bonus. Highly recommend these guys for Diesel repair and now that I know they also do gas vehicles, I'll be bringing in my girlfriend's Jetta from now on. Thanks AG!

These guys are very comprehensive, they will go above and beyond finding what you need to get/keep your truck running in the best shape it can. Very pleased with the quality of service and thoroughness. They even put a cover on your seat and vacuum where they sat in your truck, real professionals. A+

I have a small business with about 6 cars. I have a place I normally get our vehicles done at, and had contacted them to pick up our van. One of my drivers, trying to be helpful, contacted AG for an estimate. The driver is not authorized to make arrangements for service, and AG went ahead and scheduled a pick up for us. The AG mechanic showed up literally 2 mins before my service provider, and the receptionist handed him the key, knowing that it was supposed to be picked up. When I contacted AG to let them know that the service was not authorized and to return the van, they told me they would the next morning. They did not, and instead called at 4pm the next day, asking if they should go ahead and start working on it instead, telling me that since they already had it, they should do the work anyways. I said no, and then they said it would be another $50 for them to return the vehicle, on top of another $50 for the pickup! We will not be using them ever for their poor work ethics.

these guys were great. they went through my whole truck and told me everything that was going on. i dropped it in the morning and it was inspected and completely repaired and running better than ever by 4pm. very professional. i'll definately be back . thanks - nick -gladstone OR-"
