BE AWARE this company do bad business by taking advantage of small companies like mine, they hire me to do a job in tree trimming and the job is wort $12,000 dollars they refused to paid me saying that my job is only wort $3,000 they fabricated lies not to paid me but I am taking them to court so they do not take advantage of other people

Stay away!! Terrible experience. They apparently do not issue contracts, lie about what they do and then try to upcharge for work not previously discussed. They were asked to do $500 dollars worth of work and then tried to charge $2500 for work not even mentioned. I was told they would be using asphalt to match my other paving but they instead used a process called chip and seal which looks terrible. Weeds are growing through this "seal" after 3 days! They even used this process over existing asphalt and ruined it. Estimated loss $5750!!

They called and harassed me for several days and said they would use "schoolyard justice" if I didn't pay them. Thank God I didn't pay them up front. Even the police had to get involved to keep them from harassing me further.

This man Victor Brewer is a scam artist please beware ..... i am sure they have a lot of different names they go gy but all the same similiar stoties approach your home saying they have "extra" and will pave your driveway promise a good job and dont even have a contract to sign which on our part is bad since we should know better than to hand a stranger thousands of dollars and then have him do very poor job.... ours wasnt even completed but yet he still managed to cash a check 3 days after we put a stop payment on right away on the same date we gave it to him for the job he promised but never completed. I am almost sure this is the same people just that now he is handing out buisness cards claiming he is Johnson and son's Asphalt paving but still going by Charlie Johnson or Victor Brewer. We should all unite and put a stop to these theifs and con man!!! maribelgarciapatino@hotmail.com

This company is a scam. Avoid at all costs. Wish I had seen the previous reviews before I made the same mistakes.

In Dec. a man approached me claiming to be with comp Brewer and Sons. He asked me if we would be interested in road work. They left me with a card. The man told me that they had a contract with Grimes County and that they had extra material to get rid of. They said that they could dump it and smooth it for cheap. I gave info to my uncle and he gave them a call and asked them for an estimate. A man going by Charlie Brewer arrived. My uncle asked him to walk down the driveway so that he could give an estimate. He told us that he wasn’t going to give an estimate but assured he was going to do it for cheap. The next thing his crew was at work. We asked why they were working when we still had not been given an estimate or signed a contract. He told us the same line of it’s going to be cheap. Later I was called outside and told that the driveway in front was done. When he told me that we owed $6,000 I almost fell over. He insisted that he wanted to be paid in cash. He told us that it would cost $13,000 to finish the entire driveway. I asked him to come back the next day. The next day my uncle met with him and negotiated the cost of the job down to $9,500. We made him sign a receipt showing that he had received full payment for job. He left his crew here. When they finished the work his son told us that they had some extra material. We agreed that the material would be spread for $500. My uncle called Charlie and told him that we had the agreed cash and that he could come pick it up. He told my uncle that he wanted $1,800. He argued with him but never reached an agreement. When he came to pick up the money my uncle paid him with a check. When I gave him the check he said he it was made out wrong. He told me that he needed the check to be written out to Victor Brewer. I told him there was nothing I could do. Since this man seemed shady we decided to check him out. he said he had a large contract with Grimes County. I called Road and Bridge Dept and spoke with a lady who is in charge. She told me that they did not have a contract.Charlie told me that he had paved a road nearby. I went down this road and saw nothing paved or worked on except a private driveway. The homeowner gave me a similar story as to how he came across Brewer and Sons. They knocked on his door and told him that they were doing a job for the county and had excess material. They told him that it was going to be cheap. Then turned around and presented him with a bill in the thousands of dollars. In January it rained and we noticed that the back part of the driveway was washing away. We had been told that the work would last 10 to 15 years. I called the company and let them know about it. I was told that a repair would be made. As we received more rains, more of the driveway washed away. There is about 300 ft that needs repair. I attempted repeatedly to contact Mr. Brewer and arrange for repair and was met with excuses. I decided that I should file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Office. later I received a call. A man introduced himself as being the REAL Charlie Brewer. He claimed that this other man was actually named Charlie Johnson. He told me that this man has done this before and that it has caused him problems. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC about this business and this man. I have also tried repeatedly to have Mr. Johnson come make the repair. In our last conversation he told me that unless he received another $6,000 he would not honor any kind of warranty and make repair. I call the business and am told that they have no affiliation with Charlie Johnson or know who he is. This man is handing out cards with this company’s name and stating that they are located out of Montgomery County. The citizens of surrounding counties need to be aware of what this man and his representatives are doing.

i will not recommend this company. they are a very horrible company. they also told me they were coming out to rectify the problem,and didn't show up. i've called several times. now they know my number they don't answer my calls. my father paid alot of money to have his driveway paved and he is on a fixed income and also a double amputee he needed his driveway paved in order to get around in his wheelchair. he can't even do that due to the asphalt all loose and grass growing in between. please do not use this company!

Do not ever use this company for anything , They do very very poor work , i had them to lay a paved asphalt driveway and i was told that it was guaranteed that the job would be done right and that if i had any problem that they would come out. Now i have grass growing through the asphalt pavement and ants too.I've called them to rectify the problem and they told me they would be here and didn't not show up , and that they weren't coming out this is a awful so called company
