The Iberville Museum is located in historic downtown Plaquemine, in the old courthouse and city hall. The newest permanent exhibit is on the Atchafalaya Basin! It focuses on how humans have interacted with this natural waterway, starting in the 1700s and ending in the 1950s. In this exhibit, is a 17 ft model of a houseboat, a 24 ft long antique putt-putt bateau, as well as many other artifacts and images that reflect life in the swamp. The Iberville Museum is located in historic downtown Plaquemine, in the old courthouse and city hall.
