Mirror Lake Elementary School provides learning opportunities to more than 600 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, social studies, science and physical education. The school includes a range of equipment, including a digital microscope, liquid crystal display projectors, digital cameras, computers and video cameras. Its autism program assists students with autism who have difficulty in communicating and relating to others. The school also offers language learning disabilities and English as a Second Language programs. Its gifted education program is available for qualifying students to receive special instruction based on their individual educational plans, interests and abilities. The school is a part of Broward County Public Schools, which is one of the largest, accredited school districts in the United States.
