Worst dentist in America. Don't waste your money there. My sister and I were patients there. I called him to complain about something and he said I don't like complainers.

I now see this service is really all about money. I went to office and was seated at a round table to discuss a Dental plan which included having 4 fillings redone as i was told these 4 teeth had the old style fillings ( Not white) and had hairline fractures and were worn down from grinding, even though these 4 teeth did not hurt at all. I was told they needed rebuilt and crowned. I had it all final completed which was costly which was 3 1/2 years ago. I now have had all the crowns removed due to infections in all these newly 3yr old rebuilt crowned teeth, . I have now had bridges put in place since all the new crowns obliviously was a huge waste of my money. I have found a new wonderful Dentist that explained when a tooth is so worn out, has hairline fractures and worn down maybe a bridge is the way i should have gone however that was not ever mentioned or suggested. The Dental bill i paid off for 4 teeth to be treated on my dental plan 3 1/2 yrs ago i am now paying on again for the new bridges however not to this same place. I feel pleasure paying someone different for the same teeth to be worked on. Lesson was learned

First in smiles is a great place! Dr. Barfield does fantastic work. The staff is super nice. I would recommend them to anyone!!

The best customer service I've experienced at a dentist office thus far. I was referred to Dr. Barfield by one of my co-workers. I had recently experienced horrible service from a previous dentist office and was in need of a new one. From the moment I walked in the staff was amazing. Rachel the hygienist was so sweet. I told her all of my concerns and she addressed them all. My previous dentist office would just blow all my questions off. When I met Dr. Barfield he was extremely professional and pleasant. I'm scheduled to have more work done tomorrow and I honestly do feel that I will be in great hands with this dentist. I really hope in writing this review it will encourage others to visit 1st in Smiles!

I am so happy I found this office!! They are very friendly and eased my fears of getting dental work. I needed alot of dental work and put off going to the dentist for years, thanks to this office I am pain free and I love my smile!

I'd been a patient of this dentist for nearly 20 years and had noticed a steady decline in the quality of service and treatment as he grew his practice. That was fine, but I finally stopped going after his administrative staff (which turns over monthly) mistakenly billed me for a regular cleaning covered by my insurance. After a YEAR of getting erroneous bills and numerous assurances from the staff that they would correct their mistake, the turned the matter over to a collections agency! All for $126 bucks! Barfield has made his money and the last think he bothers himself with nowadays is your customer experience. My advice: move on!
