I’ve used them exclusively for more than 7 years. Safety cover, new liner, equipment and chemicals, they are helpful and knowledgeable.

Purchased a pool May 2017. Was told they would install in three weeks. It took three months...third week of August. Was loosing water a lot. Had pool discounters come and look at it. Could not find a hole was told it most be a seam. Was told liner is under warranty and would replace in April. After several calls to both installer that was supplied by pool discounters and pool discounters still not fixed. Over a year after purchase still cannot swim in our pool.

stay far away from this business. i purchased a new spa from them,paid for it in full. they delivered it, i hooked up the electrical and filled it with water and it started leaking as soon as i turned it on. they wont come look at it for at least 2 weeks. very poor customer service. thankfully my credit card company is in process or reversing the payment until i am satisfied.

Man I really wish I had found these reviews before I ordered. I am having the same issues as everyone else. So far they have robbed my little boys Christmas actually the family Christmas as the pool was our Christmas. Now I have a pool I didn't order, no plumbing, the pump and filter I payed nearly 400.00 is missing the filter making it useless, Bob is rude, keeps brushing us off hanging up saying he wil call later never calls back.Dealing with a guy named Nick praying he fixes this..The idea of filing a small claims suit is ridiculous. Over a pool! But we don't have the money to just throw away and we will have to take the proper steps to get our hard earned money back if needed..This is gutting and heartbreaking. So far a terrible gut wrenching experience. Buyers beware! Please read reviews..I will post a follow up review if this Nick fixes all that is wrong. But for now I would say stay away from this company. Yes the prices are very appealing and thats what sucked us in. PLEASE spend the extra money on a more repeatable company.

This company provided me the worst experience in my life dealing with a business. The sales people are so rude. They take your money when they don't even have your pool in stock. They don't care about u as a customer at all

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to buy your swimming pool. I purchased my pool from the New Castle store, and I have had to call this company at minimum of 25 times trying to get a response on when the pool would be installed. They are RUDE!! And they talk down to you!! Dale lies, and Bob screams at you on the phone!! So unprofessional!! The young lady that answers the phone at the New Castle store is pleasant, but her hands are tied, not really able to help you due to having to go through the Pittsburgh office. I just told Bob on the phone if I don't get a response from the installer today, I want my money back!! His response was "don't threaten me"! What!? How was that a threat!? unbelievably rude!! Save some heart ache and go somewhere else, even if it cost you a little more! believe me, it will be worth the extra Money!!

Boy am I glad I didn't listen to any of the reviews below. I actually decided to go and check out Swimming Pool Discounters when I was looking for a pool for my kids recently and did deal with Bob. He was very helpful in explaining the differences of the pools and filter systems. He explained about the installation and that is should be installed in about 2 weeks depending on the weather. When I didn't hear from the installer in about a week and a half , I called Bob and he gave me the installers phone number and I was installed quickly afterwards. My pool has been up for a month now and everyone raves about what a great pool I bought and when I tell them what I paid for it they can hardly believe it. I definitely would highly recommend Swimming Pool Discounters - nothing but informative and helpful!

Went to the Altoona branch with a water sample. Customer service was excellent. They were so helpful in explaining to me what to do in order to get my pool clean. Not only is my water crystal clear but they were very kind in inviting me back if I had any other issues. And to top it off, cheapest prices around. Thank you!

Run Away! Go somewhere else and avoid the hassle. We purchased a 'brand new' pool heater from Swimming Pool Discounters on Babcock in the summer of 2013. We never had a chance to use the pool heater last summer as we were experiencing issues with Baquicil and closed our pool early. This year, after paying Swimming Pool Discounters to open our pool, a new pump, a new liner and new chemicals, we tried to fire up our heater. The only problem..it didn't work. Called Swimming Pool Discounters and they told us that we had to call the manufacturer. Called the manufacturer and found out that our 'brand new' pool heater was actually made in 2002 and has since been discontinued. According to Swimming Pool Discounters, it's entirely possible the heater sat in the inventory for 11 years. Really? What scam are you trying to pull? Buyers beware - save your money!!!!



Also - when I called Discount Dave to discuss, he did not want to hear anything I had to say and/or ask. I never raised my voice to him but did discount the inventory sitting for 11 years and disagreed that the manufacturer was scamming me as they offered service, he told me to "Suck my [his] A#$" and hung up on me.

All I can say is WOW! Dealt with a salesman named BOB. He was nice as pie the day I bought my pool but after that totally ignorant. I had a big issue with the installer that BOB sent out. It was going on the 8th day without my pool being complete and i was very frustrated by now, instead of working with me bob HUNG UP ON ME! how unprofessional is that????? Listen to the review below and run dont walk! Its alittle cheaper but not woth the aggravation! YOU pay for what you get!!!!!!

Nonexistent customer service!!! I had a difficult time finding a 48" pool and this was one of the only places that carried them. We drove down to get more information and the salesperson was very rude and sarcastic!! We decided to order the pool and later that night looked up online the brand of the pool to check the weight of the pool. We ran across a site selling the pool $600 cheaper. We called the next day to cancel the pool and were told "ALL SALES FINAL!" We were told the pool would be in in 2 wks. After 3 weeks, I called the store to ask if they knew when the pool would be in? I got the response, "we are too busy to call the warehouse right now!" Really??? I called several days later and was told the warehouse was closed and they would call me tomorrow. Still no call, so I called there again today. The pool has finally arrived but is at the wrong store!! So no I have to travel 20 minutes further to pick up my pool. All salesman when I have called the store have been rude and extremely unhelpful and unfriendly!! Even the manager Ron rude and says he doesn't know anything because he didn't order the pool??? Go somewhere else!!!!!

Beware! Although the pools here are slightly cheaper than Pool City, the customer service is nonexistent!! My "one day" installation lasted 4 days... The installer, Dave, is rude and careless. He and his crew showed up for my "morning appointment" at 11am. He even commented that mine was the only pool he had to install that day. The crew packed up after only about 4 hours and said they couldn't finish because they didn't tell me ahead of time to order gravel and sand. I even asked Denny (the man who set up my appointment) 2 days prior to the installation day who gets the gravel and sand... he acted like I didn't know what I was talking about! Then the next day, Dave told me he would send the crew back to my house at 4pm and they never showed without even calling to let me know they weren't coming! I called Dave multiple times and he continued to claim they were still coming... by 10pm, I gave up and Dave claimed his "phone died." I had to leave a pile of sand sitting on the sidewalk overnight. These installers are a joke of a company! Only use Pittsburgh Pools for an installer if you want slow service and no respect or common courtesy for other people's time! When I expressed to Dave that I was upset with the lack of customer service and that I had taken time off work when they didn't even show up, he didn't care at all. He is not a professional in any way!

I was wary of buying a pool here after seeing the negative reviews...but the price was $4,000 less than Pool City or Alpine Pools. We crossed our fingers and made the jump. The installer left a lot to be desired as he's one of these kids who only likes to communicate through texts...and did not like to actually SPEAK on the phone, but the pool was installed within 2 1/2 weeks of purchasing it, and the installer came back and corrected the issue with the liner (it wasn't warm enough for it to stretch properly and started pulling out of the top.....all fixed now though!).

RUN DON'T WALK!!! If this site would allow it, I would give them a negative 6 stars rating. Do NOT buy anything from this store, they are absolutely horrible. The single worst retail experience of my life. I purchased a pool May 28 and in was not installed until August 17. I called at least 5 times to check on the install and each time I was told a different story. The installer finally showed up in August WITHOUT the pool! The store told them I already had it and when I called to get an explanation, Dale was completely rude, arrogant and condescending. He was supposed to call me back later that day with an answer, of course he never did. And then I was told they didn't have the pool I purchased so I was given a different model. The install crew was competent but they didn't clean up after themselves. Left all the garbage for me, including their coffee cups! I will never buy so much as a chlorine tablet from this store ever again. I personally know at least two other people who got screwed by this store as well. ANY pool store would be better than these lying thieves.

I have been a pool owner for many years but to be honest I forget stuff over the winter. This store walked me through it and took the time with me! I went to some large box store and they had no idea what I was talking about and dint want to take the time with me. Not so at Swimming Pool Discounters! This is my new pool store!!!

Do not, and I mean DO NOT, buy a pool from these people! They are snakes. And the owner, Dale, is the leader. I have been waiting for over 5 weeks for a pool. Today was the third time it was supposed to be here and it is not here. They misordered the pool and then said I changed the size. Now of course, I have a quote for the pool I wanted at the same price they tried to feed me a smaller pool for. While we there, there was another gentleman there screaming at them about how the liner in his pool had come out, and Dale was calm and cool. He is a lying snake. They don't call. Stay away! After this started I started hearing a lot of stories about them. I wish I had heard the earlier!
