I'm on the fence with GB. I like that they are close to my vet but like others have mentioned, the customer experience leaves much to be desired. Owner is short and impatient with people but the groomers do a decent job. Open from 9-5, really? Most people have to be at work by 8:30 and can't leave until 5. If my employer weren't flexible, we'd never be able to make it work. Suffice it to say... if I could get better service for more money I can and will take my business elswhere.

I am very comfortable leaving my dogs at the Golden Bone. The staff is very kind and attentive and they are really close to my vet in Point Breeze. I really like how their boarding price includes all of the walks. Another plus is that their facility is totally air conditioned in the summer and they have floor heat for the dogs in the colder months. Two paws up for The Golden Bone Pet Resort!

A First Impression Means Everything

I,m new in Pitts,I went to The Golden Bone based on online recommendations. I was greeted by a man who called himself the owner who introduced me to the groomer. The groomer was an extremely rude woman who seemed bother by me.I was simply trying to inquire about their services; all I got were short answers along with a bit of attitude. The owner noticed that I was bothered so he said "She's not much of a people person but she is great with dogs, she's been with me for 10 years."I left The Golden Bone feeling uncomfortable about leaving my puppy there. When I picked her up I was told that everything went well and that she had been good. When I got home I noticed that my puppy had a bald spot on her left shoulder.I understand that things happen, especially but I could have been informed.I called them to inform the owner of the service that I had received and that I was very unsatisfied.I left my name & number for the owner to cal me back.I still haven't received a call.I don't recommend them

Can count on them

Great service, usually friendly staff, occasionally when calling to make an appoint a male answering the phone is abrasive and can be a bit rude. Other than that, really enjoy the service and they always do a good job on grooming. Loce the greyhounds in the waiting room , too!
