Caliban Book Shop specializes in literature, philosophy, poetry, Pittsburgh and local history, Americana and World History, art, children's, sciences, fiction, paperback literature, science fiction, mysteries, older books, leatherbound, rare books, fine printing, etc. Because of the corona virus we are only open by appointment, but welcome you with safely distant open arms. We are located near the universities, the museum and library, in a nice two block section of shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee houses, making for a nice stroll.

Browsing in here is always a treat to me because I often get to find a lot of interesting books on their shelves. They also have new titles.

I really love the books being sold here. They exhibit and let the costumers open the books and the staff is friendly and helpful. Ill be beginning my book-wormy journey here!

Exclusivity is not a proper word to describe the experience in this place. They have different kinds of stuff here, from paperbacks to children books, so the place is always crowded, which is a good thing.
