Up until recently, O'Reilys was a great place I could go for help with replacing car parts. The staff has always been courteous and helpful and I never felt they were trying to sell me something they would not buy themselves.

And then my car battery needed a replacement.

I own a Saturn Ion and the battery is pretty strange, have only a positive post and a screw on the front of my hood that acted as the negative. While I wasn't very optimistic that a small town like Pinetop would carry my battery type, I jumped my car anyway and brought it in, confident the employees could at least point me in the right direction for purchasing a battery. I was sorely disappointed. Upon arrival, the employee-- Jessie--entered my car information to find my battery, only for the system to tell him they did not carry it and would have to order it. I inquired about how long it would take for my battery to come in, to which his computer revealed he could not order it for me and I would have to call a dealership-- which would've been helpful if saturn was still manufacturing tier own cars. At this point, I asked the employee to give me a jump since my car is, once again, dead. He grabbed the handheld battery jumper and attempted to jump my car. My car wasn't having it. Seeing that my car wasn't about to start, the employee says "I don't know, maybe that guy will help you." And WALKS BACK INSIDE, leaving their weenie jumper cables that didn't start my car in the first place with us.

Luckily for me, the gentleman the employee pointed out did try to help me. Unluckily for me, my car still would not start, not even with my own cable jumpers. Another gentleman came along and tried it out, no cigar. The whole hour I am standing outside in literally freezing temperatures, all three of the O'Reily employees stood inside an empty store and watched me struggle through the window. Not one of them bothered coming outside to try and lend a hand. Had the employees tried to at least give me some helpful advice as to where to look for a battery, I would not be nearly as upset as I am. I will not be giving O'Reillys my business.
