In 2003 Chef Luna left a nationally renowned Cuban fusion cuisine restaurant, to realize the dream of his own business. This endeavor, Mari Luna Mexican Grill, came to life in an old ice cream store near the Baltimore County line. Chef Luna, his wife Alba and their daughters created a loyal and cheerful following of happy diners. When Baltimore County began looking for an anchor restaurant to encourage the redevelopment of "Old Pikesville", the Lunas were their choice.
