Provided by YP.comThe manager Jeff Dreis is a scumbag. I've been getting my oil changed from Monroe's for ~10 years. I've observed Jeff over the years of being a disgruntled employee with low class, and narcissistic tendencies. Now he's a manager. In my opinion, he is not qualified to be working with people. My observations were confirmed when I arrived to my appointment ~ 30-40 minutes early and Jeff copped an attitude with me, for being too early. (Which I was willing to wait for...) His argument was- would I show up to a doctors office early? (my answer was -yes I would...) What kind of manager would argue with a customer about being early for an appointment and comparing an auto service shop to a Doctors office? Whaaat?.... Since that day, Monoe's Auto shop in Phoenixville Pa. lost a faithful customer. It's a shame Pat K. is no longer a manager. Pat had respect for others.

Provided by YP.comI took my car to Monro for a state inspection, and I was told that the entire exhaust system needed to be replaced because of a leak. They told me it would cost nearly $1500, and I needed it replaced to pass inspection. I asked them clearly multiple times, can it be repaired. No, the entire system must be replaced.
I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion. They told me the exhaust was in decent condition, and it was a minor leak. They welded the exhaust to fix the leak, and charged me only $200! And even more, they told me my front brakes were completely worn out, and were scraping against the wheel. Now Monro performed a State Inspection, and neglected to mention this major problem with my brakes. The other mechanic even showed me the brakes, and they were completely worn. I'm amazed that Monro did not even check my brakes. Yet they still managed to charge me $58 (this did include an emission sticker).

Provided by YP.comWent for 4 new tires and alignment per sale $675. Was told we need another $600 worth of work; tire rod and wheel bearings. Went for second opinion by certified master technician, the technician's certified teachers he works with and the whole school's classmates where they teach locally. They told us that we DID NOT NEED these items. Not only did you miss out on the alignment we left without doing, but any future recommendations or use of this location. They school will use your location as a prime example of why mechanics have a bad reputation.
