In need of the highest quality lenses, I found The Village Eyeworks thru Varilux.com. They do have a large selection of frames. I decided to purchase 2 pairs totaling $2100.00. I was not informed of their "store policy" of 50% up front and was asked to pay the entire amount. Unfortunately, over a period of 4 months I was never provided with any wearable lenses. I could not see clearly in either pair. So this merchant has my $2100.00 and has refused to issue me a refund even though I have no wearable glasses & no merchandise in my possession. I have spent the last four months filing complaints with my credit card company and now am filing a formal complaint with AZ Board of Opticians.

The ironic thing is that I spoke with 3 other reputable opticians in the greater Phoenix area and all of them stated that they would never keep a client's monies in such a case. Unethical, unprofessional merchant... Buyer Beware!!
