The Arizona Department of Transportation-Multimodal Planning Division handles mobility, congestion and air quality issues throughout the State. It administers several federal transit administration grant programs, offers technical assistance and expertise, oversees local transit agencies and decision makers, coordinates and funds state transit and rail planning efforts, and sets and monitors light rail system safety standards. The Arizona Department of Transportation-Multimodal Planning Division supports a transportation facilities construction program for highways and airports under the priority programming law.
