This was the worst experience I have ever had with my car. I am only posting this in hopes of keeping people from this place. It is run by a bunch of children that do not know what they are doing. The boy said his father owns the place but is not in, the father should keep him away. I would give Thunderbird Automotive specialists no stars but will not post this way.

They did a poor job when my truck failed emissions. Finally to the truck to midway chevrolet and they fixed it in half a day. Thunderbird had my truck for over 4 days and only made it worse.

I would recommend highly Stay Away!!!!!!

I went in with a service engine light. I tried buying a new gas cap but this didn't help. I was hoping they really did mean what they say on their business cards. "Integrity means everything" I wasn't disappointed. The problem really was the gas cap. Mechanics have you at their mercy. At Thunderbird Automotive Specialists Mike is honest and ethical. A rare trait nowadays.

I noticed that all of these reviews are 5 star and 4 were written within a two month period, and also that they were posted by reviewers who have each only posted a single review - all for this outfit.

My experience with T-bird made me think differently. Firstly, and so far (two instances or repairs by them) they do competent work. This is not my issue with them. Though their prices aren't TOO far out of line (but are not any kind of deal either), My issue is that they seem to look for every opportunity to fix anything and everything so as to run up the bill as much as possible. The last time the bill was nearly a grand for relatively minor work (something I could have done in an afternoon with $100 worth of stuff, but I was out of town when that car broke). On top of that they wanted to do another $1300 worth of work on little things, all on a older car that isn't worth that kind of investment. Come on guys is that any way to run a shop where your tag line is "Honesty and Integrity"?

In the big picture, there are worse places out there, and certainly less competent / more dishonest ones, but personally, I'm looking for one with a fairer business approach (maybe that's asking too much in car repair).

P.S. the only guy I've ever meet like that was so busy he couldn't get to my car for a week, go figure.

i had my mothers jeep in for the transmission to get rebuilt in jan of 09. the day after i picked up my mothers jeep i had to return it still had problems. they said that the place they sent it to forgot a part. ok no problem they fixed it back on the road. now my mother is 75 years old and bed ridden and in a home i use the jeep to take her and the wheel chair shopping. only use the jeep for her. now 1 year and 6 moths later less than 3000 miles on it the trany it goes out again. so i take it back up there and the folks at Thunderbird tell me that i am past 12 month warranty, and the shop they sent my mothers jeep to they no longer do work with. i said so you don't stand be hind your work then cause you sent it to them! sorry theirs nothing they can do warranty reasons. my mother passed in January of 2010 the jeep sat all most 4 months not driving. so message is they don't stand up to there work or the places they send your cars or trucks. but they will take your cash with no problems

I had my truck in for service and this place did more than any shop I have been to before.During the oil change they checked my brakes and rotated the tires at no charge. I was given a complet list of my trucks conditon for just doing a oil change.

I had my vehicle towed in from out of town. I knew what the problem was but was still charged $100 for a diagnostic fee. The price they gave me for a water pump was $300 higher than three other mechanics I called. When I tried to get me vehicle towed to another shop, they would not release it unless the $100 diagnostic was paid in person. I run my own small buisness and take credit over the phone quiet a bit so to hear a larger auto shop refuse only tells me what kind of people you are dealing with. I was hoping that a AAA certification would mean more but I guess I was wrong. Even the tow truck driver told me that he had dealt with this shop before and hated going there because the people were so rude. If you don't care about price or customer service, this is the shop for you.

Thank you so much for great, honest, and reliable service. I was told by the dealership that I needed many costly repairs. I decieded to take my vehicle to T.A.S. Mike and his staff were outstanding. They explained to me that I didn't need the repairs that the dealersip said I did. T.A.S. repaired my vehicle at a MUCH lower price and my vehicle has run great ever since. I would recommend T.A.S. to anyone who would want honest, exceptional, and dependable service. Thank you T.A.S.! Ashley T

I bought a used Mercedes Benz. I took it in for a simple service, and Aaron, (my new go-to mechanic) took me under my car with a flash-light, showed me everything I ever wanted to know about my car & then some, for better or worse. He didn't talk down to me like I was a child, as most mechanics do. Plus, when the day came that I needed something MAJOR done, they treated me right, and did everything in their power to get me back on the road, with NO problems.

Finally, an honest, trustworthy mechanic!! Now I will ONLY take my car to Aaron @ Thunderbird Auto.

In this day and age it is hard to find an automotive shop that you can trust. Thunderbird Automotive is not only trustworthy, they put the client first and do not try to sell unnessary repairs. I highly recommend Thunderbird Automotive to anyone that wants their car repaired correctly and quickly.

About 4 years ago I was referred to Thunderbird Automotive by a friend who'd had major car troubles. He'd found them on the web and looked at ratings. He gave them a shot (after having taken the car to several mechanics for quotes) because of what he'd read online and because they had the best plan of action for his car. He was so happy that he started telling all of his friends, including me, about this shop. The next time I needed help, I gave them a call. There service is exceptional, there prices are competitive, and every time I go to see them the experience is very good overall. One thing I've noticed is that they won't b.s. you. They tell you straight up when they can't give you the best price because quality shouldn't be compromised. But often they are the best price. I would recommend them to anyone!

I highly recommend Thunderbird Auto. I brought my vehicle to them with a printed repair estimate from another shop for a second opinion. Mike was thorough in explaining each point of the estimate, showing me the related areas in my engine and underneath the car with a flashlight. He identified and helped me understand which repairs were needed and which were not. I saved literally HUNDREDS of dollars that afternoon and my '84 Volvo runs like a champ. I could not be more pleased with the service.
