Founded in 1900, Teach For America is an organization that mobilizes college graduates to teach in urban and rural public schools. The organization serves low-income communities throughout the United States. Teach For America has a network of more than 24,000 individuals in over 35 regions in the U.S. It maintains partnerships with Visa, Amgen and Goldman Sachs Group. The organization coordinates an early childhood education initiative to tackle achievement gaps for students in pre-kindergarten level. It also operates a program for providing math and science education to students in low-income communities. Teach For America additionally publishes One Day, which is an alumni magazine.
