I have lived in Arizona for 7yrs.. moved here from Chicago with natural hair, had a short Afro b/c I was done with relaxed hair. I met Amy and her sister, made my appointment, and I was satisfied with my outcome. As the years have come and gone, I’ve taken my daughter and many of my girl-friends go there and get their hair done. After I sister loc’d my hair 2yrs ago, I thought I would never have braids again. Let me say, these women made box braids over my locs, and my hair looks amazing. I’ve been very happy with their service, met new people there, and we all had great things to say about this shop. I was not asked to make this review, and I will not receive any compensation for this review. I just want to share my experience, and let some other sistah’s know this is a good place to get your hair done

I'm not racist cuz Im black they do hair cool bt being from Chicago I've saw bttr including service & attitude. First they speak in there language during your services & its cool that's them but it because rude at a point because your in this small space that they pack with about 6 chairs & it tends to get very loud in your ears & it's like 3 of them going at a time.I've been there about 5 times the 6 yrs I've bn in AZ but this last time was the WORST!!! It has bn awhile since I bn last cuz I took a braid break crazy thing even still when sumone asks me abt hairbraiding I mention them bt not no more! I mean Im not saying they horrible but this time verses the last time I bn there I see them catching that 'Feeling ourselves disease' so to speak at first it was a nicer environment sumwhat comfortable for the 3hours or more you spend there mostly now it seemed less friendly, uncomfortable, cramped & All About the Money less abt customer service. That's the worst mistake. I was upset abt certain ways she was pulling my hair A new African braider I never seen before & instead of her trying to apologize for her actions this Heifer tryna argue with me. First off I bn in customer service over 16 yrs n I know despite how I may feel on some the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT EVEN WHEN THEY WRONG. Im not perfect I hv got besides myself in a reverse situation but always gotten respect from respected corporations. However while I think the twins are cool I feel they just employing anybody to help them with hair now cux they clientel is higher than before so now it becoming more get that money vs Quality 3 days later I lost 4 braids perhaps cuz she stood behind me the whole time instead of moving around as I've had in other shops before without hvng to say. She then asks me why I didn't say nothing till halfway nt only couldn't I take it no more 1st this chic is in my hair I ain't got time 4 day bullshit 2nd I got a 0 to 100 attitude I try to maintain & had a lot 2 do that day (Cont)

Plus Im older now unwilling to stoop to another persons immaturity(trust me I was hot she really didn't want none frfr) so After she was done I kindly walked right out..I heard her laughing & talking in their language As I left...LAUGH NOW CRY LATER �������� because one thing I have learned in customer service is that not many will speak on a gd expierence but will SCREAM TO THE WORLD when it comes to a bad one. *This me Screaming* I personally am done recommending them.

I have been a client of sister sister for more than 10 years. I live in San Tan Valley and there are several shops that I can go to on my way. But I rather drive to Phoenix and get my hair done by Amy and the girls. Reason being my hair be the Bomb.Com every time they do it. And it doesn't make a difference who does it. Because they all are GOOD. I get so many compliments on my hair, to where it will be hair slaying suicide. If I allowed someone else to do my hair. And everyone knows She will not be doing that. Ima keep taking this hour drive to get my hair done with Sister Sister cause "Baby Your The Best!" But y'all already knew that!

This shop is the best shop I've been to so far , they were so nice and quick . My braids were fast and very neat. The shop was clean and smelled very good .I will be coming again very soon

Wow I love the way they did my hair. It was quite . It took them 4 hr with two braiders on my head at the same time. The place is clean , and they also have good customer service . It was my first time and won't be my last. Thank you sister sister see ya on three month for redo .

I MUST SAY I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BRAID MY HAIR. I WAS TOLD TO CHECK OUT AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING . I MEET WITH AMY. Got an appointment right away. Great Price. Absolute the best! They does an AMAZING job. They listens to you and knows exactly what you want whether it from looking from their books, or bringing a picture. The selection of hair is Awesome. They gladly answers any questions you have and makes sure your satisfied with your hair. Their prices are very competitive and definitely affordable. A+

i always go to California to get my hair braided, but my friend told me about sister sister african hair braiding. so yes at first i was a little skeptical.....but when i seen my friends hair i loved it and decided to go give them a try. and loved their work, love that they are fast paste, and that the quality of their HUMAN hair. I will definitely be coming back on the regular. They did an excellent job

i love this place, every time i get my hair done i got numerous complements on my braids. i love the fact each braids the SAME SIZE, dont braid TOO TIGHT, and they do a fast..takes less than five hours. i am never changing shops i recommend this shop 100 percent. oh yeah they use HUMAN HAIR!!

This is the only braid shop that I trust to braid my hair in Phoniex! I've had my hair braided at this shop for three years and I've recommended others...and what I have to say is consistency! Each time I've had my hair braided at this shop, the braids have been beautiful and have lasted at least three months. The most recent time I had my braided was in Feb 15 2011. Their prices are comparable to other braid shops, and the hair they provide is of good quality. The ladies are skilled in styling braids.' So, if you are looking for a braid shop and not sure where to go, call Sister Sister African Hair Braiding! SRD.

Didn't care for the attitude. I do alot of travelling therefore finding places that do black hair is essential. Then you pass that info to others that maybe visiting the area. I wouldn't send any one to the shop on 15th ave. I think it's a shame. I don't think that it's wise to think that you are unique and the only ones available. when someone come with $400 in their pocket you make and out of town you make allowances to help them. that $400 can easily turn to $4000 with referrrals. Which you would nt get from me.

I have a lot of hair, and they did a good job. Be precise, and know exactly what you want, and they will make it happen.They do pull tight, so they are not for the tender-headed, but It lasts, and I thought it was worth it.
