Worst experience with car rental, not only do they mislead you but they are dishonest with their customers, my weekly rate was supposed to be $189 wk and was charged $337 with all kinds of fees including gas when I returned it with more than what I received it with. The first car made a loud noise so I returned it and they gave me an even worse car dirty and leaked oil everywhere, they take advantages of your vulnerability and needs, will never go back rather ride the bus

DO NOT rent from this place. All they do is lie to the renter. Was told $129 flat rate for a week rental. When I went to pay there was 2 extra charges that I was not informed of. Did not get the vehicle I was promised. Their cars are old with high milage, NOT dependable at all. Was told I would get a FREE shuttle to and from the airport, and once again when I received my bill was charged an extra fee.

They claim it is cheaper to rent from them as opposed to the airport due to less taxes, the final bill showed a tax fee of 19.9%, same as the airport..........

STAY AWAY, worst rental place ever...............

Believe everything the otters say. The owner of the place will call you a F'ing SOB. The cars are junk. I could have rented a car a heck of a lot better for what this crooked piece of camel dung charged me.

DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!

If you bother even a bit about your money, time and effort, please do not get a car from this place. I got the car for a week, a old Chevrolet Lumina and I am beating myself to have not read the reviews! On the last day, the engine broke down and I was held responsible for it. They got $450 i the beginning and another 400 after the car had to be towed away on the freeway on the last day! They are highly unprofessional, rude, arrogant, morons who should be sued right away! They literally intimidate you when talking on the phone and use your credit card very dishonestly.

If possible, people should really get together and sue this company to make sure such vagabonds are thrown out of business! I comprehended calling the police for such a fraud business that they are running, but unfortunately i don't have the bandwidth of getting into all that at this point of time.

Hopefully, reading this post will save someone from doing business with them and avoid going through the trauma and inconvenience I and many others had to go through.

In a nutshell, if you see their name anywhere, anytime - Run Away!!

Warning! Never rent a car from this place (30th street and Mcdowell)! The car was a piece of junk! I was quoted a fair price at check in. Then there was all kinds of undisclosed hidden fees at the check out a few days later. I had a bad feeling about this place and I should have followed my gut instinct. This place will rip you off and SLAM the door in your face. Never never go to this place unless you like getting bent over! I wish that I would have read all of the other negative reviews before renting from these scammers.

Bewared. They quoted us a goo...

Bewared. They quoted us a good price, but didn't tell us about the extras - shuttle fee from airport, cost for extra driver, service and cleaning, drop off. We added the extra driver because we thought we were told there was no extra cost. Apparently not according to their video surveilance camera. When we called to question, they pointed to where these extra charges were registered on the contract - in very difficult to read writing. They ended the conversation with, "We deal with written contracts, not verbal ones." They have themselves covered, but it's not an operation you can trust.

Without a doubt the worst expe...

Without a doubt the worst experience renting a car I have ever had. Definitely a scam. Vehicle should not have been on the road, that usually requires having brakes. We drove 106 miles while we had the vehicle and were charged 229. They tack on several interesting fees include a service and cleaning fee that they didn't earn (again vehicle should not have been on the road). If i could give them 0 stars I would. You are better off walking.

I've been traveling on busines...

I've been traveling on business for 25 years and have never found a rental car establishment with such shady business practices and rude customer service! Like Brice, I ,too, was quoted $189.00, but for a five day rental.

Read the contract CAREFULLY! There are "hidden charges" embedded throughout the contract. Cleaning, "incidental" and Out of State fees (and I never took the car out of state) brought my end rental bill to over $291!!!!!!!

And the cars are pieces of JUNK. They one we got was FILTHY... cigarette ash, spilled drink stains, dog hair on the ceiling. The CHECK ENGINE light stayed on the entire time, and the car's brakes pulled to the right.

SAVE YOURSELF A HUGE HASSEL! DO NOT RENT FROM SABAN! They will not tell you about the charges, nor will they tell you about the pieces of junk they rent. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST RENTAL CAR AGENCY I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!

Extremely Bad Car Rental Experience---Saban Rent-A-Car, LLC/Phoenix Car Rental.

My wife and I recently had an extremely frustrating and bad experience recently on a vacation trip to Phoenix. I called around on rental car prices---and when talking with Pete at Saban's Rent-A-Car in Phoenix (also under Phoenix Car Rental), he assured me that they had the best prices and service in town and that we could save the 40% fees that the Car Rental companies at the airport charged .Upon arrival at the airport, which was late afternoon on Sunday, I called the phone number as instructed. 1st it rolled to a voicemail---I tried it again and a very gruff individual answered and said he would pick us up in about 10 minutes. 30 minutes later---a black Cadillac Escalade pulled up---the gentleman jumped out---basically threw our luggages in the back---including my laptop--which I had planned to keep with me. My wife and I go in the car---and the driver took off like a shot screeching around the corner to exit the airport. He was in a big hurry and our luggage was sliding around as we drove which made us and the other lady in the car uneasy.

After we arrived at the rental lot--it looked pretty sparse of cars---some didn't look in good mechanical shape. After unlocking the lot---we went to the counter. When it was our turn---I got out the documents and signed the paperwork. I laughed and told my wife that as long as we didn't get the Blue Taurus that had the hood unlatched and truck out of alignment---we should be OK. As it turns out---that was the car we got. The "agent", Ralph "helped" by basically throwing in our luggage. When we got in the car---a very strong smelly odor first hit our noses. The low gas light came on also. By the time we arrived at the gas station a few blocks away---the check engine light came on. After filling the tank---it only took 5 gallons--so the fuel gage didn't work either. The inside of the car looked like something from a salvage yard. I quickly got back to the lot just as he was about the lock it for the night and told him we couldn't take this car---it was not a good running vehicle as advertised. He stated that there were no more cars for the $189 weekly rate. I told him I wanted the Impala sitting next to it---and he said it would be an additional $100. I didn't like the idea of getting stiffed---but at now almost 6 P.M. on a Sunday---felt we didn't have a choice. This car was not perfect---by any means---but we lived with it.

On Saturday February 26th, 2011---we took the car back at 7:40 A.M. The lot was open---but the door was locked. We called the phone number---which ended up being a cell phone I found out---and was instructed to tap on the glass of the guy in the dually truck and he would give us a ride to the airport. He was on the phone and threw his hands up in the air for us to go away. We waited a few minutes--and he came out and yelled as me for interupting his call. He took us to the airport in a the car we rented---and was the most gruff person they could have hired.

After getting home--I had planned to call and complain about the experience. I noticed that even with the $289 weekly rate and the fees listed on the rental agreement---that I was charged an additional $37.07. After calling them this morning---she billing person said that since it was after 5:30 P.M. on a Sunday--that there was an additional fee of $12 (time was 5:32 on the receipt---hand written). And there was an additional $15 for the pickup fee---neither of which show on my contract.

Ralph---the "agent" who picked us up originally---came on the line and said I had signed another paper with this information on tape---and he was sick and tired of people calling back to negotiate other deals---and he hung up on me.

I highly suggest that anyone traveling to Phoenix to steer very clear of this place as you will most likely get ripped off like we did.

Saban Rental Car -- Run Screeming from this Business

To Get Started they operate under serveral names

Saban Rental, and phoenix Car Rental, etc also out of

2934 E. McDowell. All of which have unhappy customers.

The car rental was suppose to be for a Newer Chevy

Implala - the one we received at rental time had

almost 90K miles on it. Car smelled from Cigarette

Smoke and had issue with tire balance at 60MPH.

Obviously this was not a "Newer Model" as quoted;

furthermore, there were a number of "Additional

Charges and Fees" at the return time which were not

Quoted or DISCLOSED IN ANY WAY in advance. Where I

come from this is at the minimum dishonest and the most

premediated FRAUD. There were charges to pick up at the

Airport and Drop back off, Cleaning and other Unidentified

Charges. Charges totaled over $150. to bill, a package is

just that, we expected a total in the $ 340. range not $450+

In All - All Said It would have been cheaper to use an on airport

Rental Agency and we would have a Newer Car without the

Hidden Fees & Charges

Can you Say the work RIP-OFF and Fraud.

Stranded in the desert

My 19 year old son rented from here because it was the only place that would rent to a 19 year old. He drove from Phoenix to west of Yuma where it broke down. When he called them to ask for a new car they hung up on him 3 times. I called and they told me they were to busy to talk to me and hung up. He had to catch a Greyhound bus from Yuma to San Diego. Now I am disputing the charges, and if not satisfied will hire an attorney for the principal that they had no problem stranding my son in the desert on foot!
