Do some research before hiring Reliant Capitol. They are just marking up and selling Energy Shield Window And Doors products. If you are in the market for windows or doors do some research they are in the same building. Reliant Capitol sells its product as its own but is truly marking up Energy Shields product at a much higher price.

Well, so far, From beginning to end,I'm giving 5 stars. First contact with a service operator Mary, to a follow up administrator Summer, to the scheduling manager Staci, I received nothing but professionalism and expert knowledge which enabled me to focus on other personal issues. It's a world of difference between having confidence and trust in a company and being on the fence. At every stage my trust and confidence grew. The windows were available to install on time. The installer (Tennis) showed up with the correct windows that were in perfect condition (unlike the contractors who showed up with the wrong garage door, and the contractors who showed up with a flawed counter top). Installation was completed on time and done nearly to perfection, which is more than I can say for other work that was done on my house by other contractors. Granted, though, I am particular. Would I use Reliant again? I am planning to do so next year when I have the rest of my windows upgraded and the exterior of my home coated. Additionally, they have also given me an ideal estimate for a bathroom remodel with a detailed project plan.

We had a salesman visit our house for a free estimate. He measured our windows, and checked the other windows in the house, explaining that the windows and door I installed the summer before were no good and would need to be replaced. He went on and on about how they would last us three years, tops. Some of our other windows are the same brand and had been there for over 7 years, with no problems.

Note to window reps: do NOT put down the owner's work, or his choice in brands, even if they aren't your company. I did my homework, and stand by my selection.

He then explained that I should definitely not go with any other brand of windows, and that they would have to custom build our windows, which would cost more since they were all slightly different, and not a standard size. For the record, I did my own research here, all four windows we intend to replace are standard size, 72"x48". No special manufacturing needed.

He quoted us a "discounted" figure, including installation, that was four times the cost of the windows I had been looking at previously. Sure Reliant offers a great warranty, but I could replace these windows a few times over and still save money by going a different route. Our thirty year-old windows work just fine, so why were the ones less than a year old a ticking time bomb?

All in all, I felt like I had a sleazy used car dealer in my house, pressuring me to drop several thousand dollars on the spot, or commit to a payment plan. Even if these windows are the best of the best, that's my decision to make. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't care how great Reliant windows are. they can keep them.
