Find all the camping gear you need at REI

It's true that REI is expensive, but the sales are worth watching for. You can find anything you need to make camping a more pleasureable experience and then some. The quality of their goods is high and the sales staff is friendly.

Not what it used to be

REI used to be a great co-op for outdoor gear. It is now a "sports" boutique for wannabe outdoorsman. The staff are not even well versed in their departments and that used to be a mainstay of REI. I have been a long time customer (1989), but since I want gear and not shirts with turtles on them, I am shopping elsewhere.
