Horrible fade & cut my 3 yr old.. all for $20.

I recently visited Regis Hairstyles @ Metro Center Mall. The experience was one I did not expect at all.

My son's auntie took him to get his hair faded while his parents waited outside:) We waited a good 20 minutes.

They came out and I was shocked. First of all, my son's hair was not faded you could see the line &was sorta choppy around where it was supposed to be faded, it wasnt even . It did not look like she took any off the top either and around the ears, his hair was still long. Second, as soon as my son turned, I noticed the back of his neck had been CUT. Two were about 1 inch long & a little wider than the other two which were a little more than a scratch clearly on his bones, once he put his head down. Third, I guess the haircut cost 20 bucks! My son is 3 years old. That is what his aunt paid for a 'childs haircut'.

We went back in to see if someone else could fix this awful haircut and to get some sort of apology for cutting my son's neck..afterall it was 20 bucks.

We went in asking if she could fix it & the hairstylist was baffled as if she had done a great job. I mentioned the cuts and she was like 'I dont think I did those, they were already there'. Which made me pretty mad because this is my son, its not like his own mother doesn't know about every bruise, cut, scratch he's ever gotten. The cuts were not there when he walked in as we had been looking at his hair before he went in && you could tell, it was fresh blood in a slight dotted line. And another employee sitting @ the reigster was saying 'well we arent' trained to do fades thats not really what we do here'. SO, why did this hairstylist agree to give my son a fade if she doesn't know how to do it? If she wasn't trained for it? I wish she woulda spoken up and mentioned that she didnt' know what she was doin. Instead of 'praticing' and cutting my 3yr old son in the process for a pricey $20. I mean how am i supposed to know none of them are trained to do fades?

So it was settled that the manager, i think, was gonna try to fix it. We would have to wait ten minutes tho. But as we waited we figured that maybe we could just try elsewhr once we found out there was a barbershop dwnstairs, and that Regis might give the refund or at least a discount for the horrible haircut.

They were a little reluctant and the manager was going on about how it did not sound like her employee. So she asked us for a receipt as she finally agreed to issue a refund. But we never got a receipt from the hairstylist. Second we found out the kids cuts are only supposed to be $14.95. THird, they couldn't find the $20 in the register that we'd paid and come to find out the hairstylist had it in her pocket.& this is 20 minutes after the haircut.

We finally got out of there, and took my son to the barbershop downstairs where the ladies there were also suprised with his haircut. They looked at his hair with a 'wtf' expression..and asked where he had it done at. They felt so bad for my son and the cuts he received. SHe said she could fix it and she did. His hair looks so good now, thanks to the barbershop downstairs in metromall..they even edged him uP & gave him a sucker. The only thing is his neck:( he is probably gonna have scars thnx to regis. SO don't go here for a fade.
