If I could put zero stars I would! What terrible customer service, probably some of the worst I have ever experienced. These people tell you nothing but lies that is of course when you can finally get a hold of someone. Victoria aka Vickie Block has got to be one of the most dumbest people I have ever encountered. What an absolute flake!! After waiting over 8 weeks for a piece of furniture that I was told would be ready within 4 to 6 weeks I had to go through numerous people and numerous phone calls to finally be told that I was told incorrectly and the sales associate (vickie) should have told me 8 weeks. It has been over 8 weeks and I still do not have my furniture!! I will never buy anything from this store again. What a sad unfortunate place. Be warned DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE.

I purchased a beautiful dining set that matches my design theme like it was custom made today at Pruetts on Thomas and 34th Street. i decided to save money and rent a uhaul ford pickup truck to go to the Washington and 43rd avenue location to pick it up. They loaded the table in the truck for me and opened the box to check the glass top for damage prior to me leaving. now comes the part im unhappy with. i got the unit home. unpacked everything and put the table together and chairs together. the glass top is scratched on the top portion of the bevel witch is inlayed and couldnt of happened and didnt happen from any fault of mine. One chair has a line through the finish like they boxed it while it was still needing to dry so the finish melted or rubbed off. Another chair will not allow the screws to fully be screwed in because the driiled hole is not as long as the screws. now comes the even better part. They will not come out to deliver a new glass top or chair and require me to bring them back to the washington site. Remember i have a sports car and will have to rent a uhaul truck again costing me more than their delivery fee. The gentleman who answered the phone was rude. The manager never called me back as promised. I am buying one large item each 20th of the month to redecorate my house. I already purchased the last two housholds of furniture with them. I guess this doesnt matter. I will have to abide by their rules so i dont get stuck with broken furniture and they are the only place that sells the matching hutch so i will have to purchase this from them as well. After this next purchase i will never purchase from them again. If you pick up your furniture from them makee sure to unpack every item and check it for defaults. They will look at you like you are crazy but it is what they say they require. Why would you want to be rude and turn a lifelong customer away.....Sometimes i dont understand who runs these businesses. Im happy i work for a place i can be proud of. Must be difficult to go to work there.John Parker

The furniture selection and styles are great, but beware if there is an issue with the quality of products you buy as the saying goes "YOU GET WANT YOU PAY FOR".

I purchased a glass and metal dinette set (Steve Silver model EM4242) which was very inexpensive, modern style looked great! When the service men deliver the set they warned me that the dinette set had problems with stability. I'd purchased other furniture from Pruitt's before and never had issues with the quality of those items. I figured that because I am the only one in my household that there would be no problem with the wear or tear of the set. After about 1 month the nuts and bolts on the legs of the chairs would loosen and I'd find them all over the floor, a repair man came out and also told me about the issues with this particular dinette set model, he said he'd note my concerns and the service manager would contact me because I wanted to look at replacing this unit. (NOTE: Service Manager Pam said that server man noted that there was no problem with set) I never received a call, about 2 or 3 months with no reply from Pruitt's. I went into the store and another repairman came and told me the same thing the delivery men said about the dinette set model. Pruitt's no longer has the dinette set in the store, which I was told and understand that model changes like clothing styles, and that they will take care of the tighten of screws for one year, but as you can see my one year is up soon (purchased set in July 2012). I called back today (Feb 15th) after no call from service about my concerns with the set today they will send out another repairman (3rd) to fix again. Service manager Pam told me that I've had the set in my home for about a year and I assume that I'm stuck with a faulty piece of furniture...she was not forthcoming with me when I requested the manufacture's contact information of the faulty dinette set to lodge my complaint with the manufacture of the dinette set, I cannot find the manufacturer of the set on the internet like she suggested I do to contact them. BUYER just BEWARE of your purchase problems keep detailed notes times and names of people you deal with at Pruitt's on purchases that need repairs within that one year period. Which I had read reviews instead of having to make a review!

Bad Service

Three Issues

One - I have disabilities to limit my mobility, requiring crutches. I went to Pruitts to buy a new living room after my parents moved in with me. After looking through the entire bottom floor, I went to the saleswoman and asked how to get to the second floor, since stairs weren't an option. She curtly told me there wasn't an elevator and walked away. SO DID I, right out the front door. I told my family we'd have to go elsewhere, after we'd been buying furniture there for 50+ years. My mother, who liked to replace furniture frequently enough to have bought several housefuls over the years, went back anyway and confronted them with their RUDE behavior. The other salesman convinced her to have me come back, because they do make accommodations for persons with disabilities. I returned. Their idea of making accommodations is to put you in a wheelchair and have the warehouse guys push you up the back ramp. I can't speak for everyone, but that is NOT respectful. After all these years they couldn't afford an elevator??? PLEASE!!!!!!!

Second - After submitting to the humiliation, having driven across the valley twice now, I looked through the sofas to find what I wanted. I told the saleman that the ONE MAJOR REQUIREMENT was that after paying that much money, after a year I didn't want a sofa with flattened cushions. I was buying the sofa for the family, as my disabilities make it uncomfortable for me to sit in nearly any sofa. I picked the style, the fabrics, paid the custom order prices and guess what??? Less than six months and I have mashed cushions.

Third - Called the company to complain and end result,..was told TOUGH!!!!!!!!! Absolutely no offer of repair, replacement or concession. So I'm (#@*&(#. I'm stuck with a sofa no one can sit in becuase someone has to remove the covers of the seating cushions and fluff them EVERYDAY, because they didn't take my ONE MAJOR REQUIREMENT into consideration. They stuffed the sofa with down.

I reminded them of the addage, a happy customer tells one person, an unhappy one tells a hundred, with the internet, a thousand. SO SHOP ELSEWHERE PEOPLE. They have no respect for their customers or their employees. Hate to work there and get hurt carrying heavy furniture up that back ramp.

Shop around, same fabrics on other sofas, so even their primary excuse, the fabric not strong enough for alternative stuffings, was a lie.
