PLEASE, I beg you, do not put your loved one in this facility! My father thrived in NY for 3 months after a severe stroke. ( Could not speak and paralyzed on his right side) Once he was well enough to travel by plane, I convinced my mom to bring him here so I could help her care for him, once he was done with therapy. HE WAS DEAD 10 days after being in this facility!!! In NY he could let the nurses know he needed the restroom, here they didnt want to be bothered and put him in diapers as soon as he got there! I was outraged! We had several meeting with their nursing mgmt about this. They put up a sign-off sheet for the bathroom....no one ever signed it!! Here is the begining of the end. They were supposed to cut up is food, or wait to assist to feed him. My mother was late getting back their for dinner time, we hated leaving him alone there. When she went into his room she found:1) A towel draped over the front of him. She thought it was being used as a "bib" turns out he had vomited and they used it to COVER the vomit up!!!!2) She found his pills in the crook of his arm!! It also looked like he had been trying to pour some water in a potion cup, and just gave up and the pills dropped!!When I went to nursing school back in 1985, You WAITED to make sure the patient TOOK their meds BEFORE you left the room!!!!!!! 3) They were billing the insurance company for therapy that he was NOT recvg. CROOKS!!Because of my father vomiting, within 12 hours he developed aspiration pneumonia and died at the Mayo hospital. I am heartbroken.Before the vomiting episode, I was already trying to find another facility and even a paid private nurse to to stay with him at night until we could get him out of this hell hole. I knew by the 2nd ay this place was unethical, unprofessional and quite frankly, dangerous, my instincts were right. We should have sued them, but my mother was so distraught she could not function. As far as I am concerned they, killed my father. I also so neglect of other patients, it was so sad.Please BE VIGILANT in your care for your loved ones. Ask questions, look at their charts daily.

My 65 year old father had spent about a week in the hospital. In between the hospital and moving into a retirement home he was placed here. He has diabetes but has never taken insulin. They placed him on 4 doses a day. When he was released the doctors were shocked and took him off immediately. Also, he had never in his life been in a wheelchair. They made him stay in a wheelchair the whole time he was there. They sent him home with a wheelchair that he did not use once when he left. His insurance ran out but because he was on so much insulin they said he had to stay another week. The social worker told me not to worry about the cost. Well, now as his daughter, because he has no money they have been harassing me for the money he owes for that extra week that they made him stay! $1153.00 Plus they were just down right rude most of the time and you could tell they could care less about the people staying there. Don't be fooled, the retirement side of the building may get great reviews but on the other side of the building the rehab is awful and the only reason it's getting a one star is because it won't let me post a zero.

This is a holding tank. Patients are placed in wheelchairs all day and are weaker upon discharge than they were on admission. The facility seems extremely concerned about liability so they are so cautious about allowing patients to attempt any sorts of rehabilitation and plop them in wheelchairs all day instead of encouraging them to make progress in their recovery.

This has been the most horrible experience my mother fell several times under their care. I witnessed neglect down right disrespect to other patients . Rude nasty and very neglectful. I have filed a complaint with adoh and Bibb. They ignored and denied any wrong doing. DO NOT USE PLACE IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE!
