OMG!!!! ALERT!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! I just got off the phone with "Eddie" the owner asking for some help. We had come home from vacation in mid November only to find that our fridge had shut down. We lost all the food in the fridge and freezer. In a panic, my wife and I contacted A-1 Affordable because they said they could have someone out right away. They contract out the work and a repair guy showed up a few hours later and within minutes, he informed us that we needed a new main computer board. I had no time to do any research on the problem so we told him to go ahead with the repair...my bad!!! $785 later, he told us that we also needed to replace the "other computer board" that controls the bottom drawers!!! Only $985!!! Fortunately, he had to order that part and it would take two weeks. Being in no hurry to spend another $1000, we let it go until a month and a half later, we had not heard from them. Curious as to how easy it was for him to replace the first main board in 30 seconds...two plugs out...two plugs in and done, I got the part number and contacted the appliance parts store on Kyrene, gave them the part number and asked "How much?" To my chagrin, it was $169.00...They say a college education is expensive...try ignorance! Had I taken the time, I could have saved hundreds. So, back to Eddie....when I explained that they had not returned to complete the job...thankfully...and that I felt we were GROSSLY OVER CHARGED.. I asked him if he would consider any sort of compensation or would he complete the job with some discount? He told me that that was my fault for agreeing to have the job done before doing any research or price comparison with other repair facilities and offered no help at all. They will scam you....do not fall for it. Price shop!!! MAJOR RIPOFF!!!!!!!

The worst appliance repair scam company out there. They charged $85 Oct 6th and said they would fix it. They said that they would come back on the next Monday. They didn't come so we rescheduled a second and a third time and finally said that they they would give the money back. They haven't given the money back or fixed the appliance. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY or a man named Eddy (602-750-9236) ever. They will take your money and scam you.

A-1 Appliance gets a 5 star rating from me. I had needed a repair on a 20-year-refrigerator that I had wanted to keep. I have called twice, one to replace an icemaker and, more recently, to correct a buildup of moisture inside the refrigerator. Both times, two technicians came out and took care of the problems. They worked fast but spent time making sure everything was right. Their service is excellent and their fees are very reasonable. They were totally upfront in quoting costs, and they were extremely knowledgeable in what needed to be done and in making the repairs. I will be calling A-1 for any future appliance repairs!

Well I will not use these people again nor will I recommend them. They are very pricey,I had a control board and display go on my 2 year old Frigidaire and the repair cost was $455 and to their credit they did include the $75 fee to come out. The problem is when I priced the part on Amazon it did not seem that expensive and I told the repaian so. When he wrote out the bill the repair man did not show a breakdown for labor and parts on the bill, nor did he leave the parts he took out which is a state law in Ohio in California. I didn't realize that Arizona did not have that law. When I called a week later because the alarm didn't seem to be going off they wanted to charge me again for coming out and they said that was my problem because I didn't reset it. I live and I learn but I won't be going back to this place.

Our experience with A-1 Appliance Repair was outstanding. My husband and I had plans to leave town on Saturday morning and were stressed to find our large refrigerator stopped working in the middle of the night. Their representative came out that very morning after I called. Very professional young man gave my husband all the details on the refrigerator. Fortunately, they were able to diagnose the problem “immediately” and were able to replace the defroster part in less than hour. Cannot tell you how grateful we were that we did not have to buy a new refrigerator and still leave on our trip. Also, the representative explained for the 1 year warranty to show the receipt. We did scan it into our computer for the future and put it where we could find it. Refrigerator works great! Great company quick to respond and professional for us. Family owned apparently many years. Great owner was good to us in getting someone out so quickly. Wished we had a company like this when we owned a good many rentals years ago business would have been easier. They certainly have our business in the future. Thank you Linda & John P,

I can NOT recommend this company. I own a rental property and while out of town I authorized my staff to send over A-1 Appliance Repair to do a repair on a broken dryer. This dryer had been repaired and had a complete tune up by A-1 less than 90 days ago so I asked if it was under warrantee. I was told I need to have the receipt for past work (they couldn't look it up for me). I was out of town and didn't have access to a paper receipt in my office so I figured I would work it out with them when I got back and paid for the repair. When I returned, I found they had NOT sent me any kind of receipt for the new work that was done. When I called and asked for a receipt I was told if I gave them a receipt number, they would supply me with a copy of the receipt. (see the problem here? I DIDN'T GET A RECEIPT! and the repairman did not leave it on site) They absolutely wouldn't give me any kind of receipt of what work was done, or what parts if any were replaced. Now I have a dryer that I paid $200 in November for a complete repair and tune-up, and they ran my credit card for $185 in February for . . . . I have no idea what they did - if they did anything at all. If the dryer breaks in the next month, I have no proof that any work was done. During our conversation, just trying to get a simple receipt e-mailed to me, they said they were done talking to me and hung up on me! I turned to someone in my office and said "They just hung up on me!" My staff said "They hung up on me last week when I tried to get a copy of the receipt too". What is wrong with this office? SO unprofessional!!!

Ed problem solved my dryer problem. He replaced a part in November of 2014 and the dryer was still not right. He showed me the venting hose was scrunched by the company that did my vent blowout. This was done within days of the repair made my his company. Ed was a blessing to be able to trouble shoot this for me. I am most appreciative and will not hesitate to call them should a need exist. I will definitely give his name to our friends. Many thanks Ed.

A technician went out to my mother's house on 2/19, my mother is elderly and hard of hearing she stated the technician was very nice and took the time to explain everything to my mother. The washer is working great and the cost was reasonable, I will definately recommend A-1 Appliance to anyone, thank you

Thank you for coming out on a Sunday to repair my Subzero refrigerator, I was very upset when I opened the freezer door and it was warm, the person over the phone was great and got a technician to come out within the hour, I couldn't ask for better service.

I called sears to come out and repair my refrigerator they were booked for 2 weeks and the techs dont even carry parts. A-1 came out right away and tech fixed it right there and then. Very pleased with this company and experienced techs that i wouldnt mind using them again thank you very much.

I have been using this company for 2 years now, im happy to say that i have been very pleased. They definitely know exactly what they are doing every single time and wouldnt think of switching companies.

This company came out to fix my maytag refrigerator late at night, thank you very much i would have lost a lot all my food. Very prompt service, thank you.

I recommend A-1 Appliance Repair, they came out on Sunday and repaired my Refrigerator. I was impressed the technician was very helpful and explained the cause of the problem and the cost of the repair, the price was very reasonable and the repair was quick, I didn't have to sit around all day waiting which was a plus for me. Very pleased with service, they came out as soon as possible to work on my refrigerator. The tech was very professional and knew what he was doing. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of service!! Price on repairs are based on national price guide book not just by anyone!!!

We had a problem with our washing machine and described the problem with the technician on the phone. He was able to assess the problem over the phone as being a problem with the transmission and said it would cost as much to repair the washing machine as it would cost for a new one.

A-1 came out to repair my Subzero Refrigerator, I just want to tell everyone that it was a very pleasant experience, reasonable pricing, arrived on time. I was very happy with the repair. A-1 actually came out and repaired my washer about a year an a half ago and my neptune washing machine is still working great. Thank you
