Pan Asia is our favorite new restaurant after moving to Phoenix 6 months ago. We're pretty well-traveled and lived for many years in San Francisco, so we like to think we know something about good food and good restaurants. This place rocks! When we first moved here there wasn't a really good Asian restaurant anywhere nearby, so we couldn't wait for this one to open.



In fact, we were there opening night! Despite the usual hectic nature of an opening, the service was good, and most importantly the food was incredible. We were treated to one of the chef's signature dishes - a black pepper tuna tataki. This dish is so amazing that we order it every time we visit. It has replaced chocolate as my favorite food in the world!



The menu is quite varied, and despite several visits we've only tried a small number of the dishes. We haven't been disappointed by anything yet. The ingredients are the best, the flavors are outstanding, and the presentation is pure artistry. The decor and ambience are very tasteful and well-done. The main chefs are also the owners, and both them and their staff are warm and friendly. If you like sushi, chinese food, thai food, or exotic new dishes inspired by a Pacific Rim sensibility then you will find something to like here.
