Established in 1969, Modern Industries Inc. is a precision machining, assembly and support services company based in Phoenix, Ariz. Its in-house capabilities include precision milling/turning, Electric Discharge Machining (EDM), lapping, grinding, complex assembly, Penetrant Inspection, Pressure Testing, Helium Leak Testing, Electron beam/Tungsten inert gas (TIG)/Metal inert gas (MIG) Welding and many more. Modern Industries Inc. has approximately 135,000 square feet of operations space under roof with over 70 machine tools available for high precision prototype and production machining. It is an ISO 9001: 2000 and AS 9100 certified company along with NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) approval on several of its supporting processes. The company's Aerospace Division caters to some of the leading aerospace companies, such as Boeing Co., Hughes-Raytheon and Hamilton Sundstrand.
