I will give 2 stars because they do respond quickly to maintenance requests.

However, they have crappy customer service in the accounts department.

They charge $25 to open a letter with an HOA warning (no fines)

They charged for being late when their system malfunctioned and wouldn't accept payments.

Although I have emails where they 'claimed ' to waive fees they never apply these reversals. Despite re-sending THEIR email, they then claim that the cannot honor it.

Gotta watch these Thieves closely

If I rent again, I will walk away from any and all properties managed by this group.

HORRIBLE COMPANY

If I could give this company negative stars I would have done that. They don't even deserve the 1 star but I had to leave something. We were going to rent a house that is managed by this company. When we called to look at the house she just gave us the code to the lock box and we went inside the house. She didn't seem to care to show us the house so she let us go in on our own. Then after we put down the deposit and app fees for the house they then came back with 200 admin fee, taxes, etc. On their site it said we would pay one application fee if we did it online but they charged us two. We cancelled our deposit and told them to refund our deposit and we had to drive 40 min to pick up the check because they refused to mail it or refund it by the original form of payment (debit card). They spelt our names wrong and then wrote on the check to try and fix it. Please don't rent from this company. All the reviews are true!!! If you don't believe me just give them a call. Worst company ever not sure how they are in business

Worst of the Worst

There are many property management companies out there these days and most of them are bottom dwellers for investors. Unfortunately AZ government requires that you have a management company or someone in the area, to manage your investment.

I would say that this company rips off investors by charging exorbitant prices for repairs, which can cost you thousands of dollars every month. They charge an additional %15 on top of an inflated charge and in some cases will install and/or perform maintenance requests from the tenants without consulting with the investors. They make poor decisions on spending your money, and if you have the pleasure of speaking or working with a guy named "Jambo" (I call him Dumbo) who is the maintenance manager, he will kill you financially.

Last month he tried to send an emergency crew on a Friday afternoon to "Tear Out" my property in Chandler for mold, which would have cost me 10's of thousands of dollars to repair which would have involved my insurance company. The report that he gave me on Friday afternoon was that the roof was leaking and caused extensive damage to the house and he needed to send someone out there ASAP to dry it all out. After speaking with the tenant, the tenant had no idea what he was talking about. There was a small leak in the garage, and provided me pictures of the damage (approx 1' x 1' sq damage) and also stated that he mentioned this upon his move in report some two months ago and the damage was minor. The repair was not made prior to his move in. When I confronted Dumbo about it, he got pissed off because I accused him of trying to collect his maintenance fee and they abruptly dropped me as a client.

Prior to the aforementioned incident, he lied to me about installing a phone line (which was actually a data line) in an apartment. The tenant should have paid for this, however the tenant that Metropolitan placed in this apartment, moved out and stuck them with the bill. BTW, the tenant stole furniture and other items and was evicted after 2 months. I did not receive the bill until four months after the job was completed. When I inquired as to why I had to pay $495 (charge appeared on my monthly statement) he stated that it was a phone line, and it would increase the property value, which I found out later that it was indeed a data line.

After reviewing the BBB rating on this management company, I found out that they received an "Unsatisfactory" rating. This company will not respond to your requests, and their accounting practices are very suspect to say the least. I would love to put these people out of business and recommend that anyone who needs a management company stay far away from this company.
