This congregation was founded on September 1st, 1948 at 919 S. 22nd Street, by its first pastor, Walter Green. The local church moved to 2232 W. Campell Ave., in the early Seventies and then to its current location, 4426 N. 31st Ave, in April of 1985. We are a member congregation of the Church of God of Prophecy, which has churches in all fifty states and 120 countries with a total membership of approximately one million. We are a community of Bible-believing, Spirit-filled Christians who have come together to worship God in Spirit and in truth. We believe everyone needs to repent of their sins, confess Jesus Christ as their resurrected Savior, seek the gift of the Holy Spirit, and prepare for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. LCC is a church in which authentic faith is demonstrated by service in the body and to our community. We view the church as an "altar of sacrifice" where we focus on ways to respond to the grace, forgiveness and love God gave us in the atoning death of His Son Jesus on the Cross. We invite Christians who feel led to make a difference where it matters most to covenant with us in this "Last Days" ministry. You are invited to be a part of this local church. We minister in many ways in our congregations and to our community, and we always need more workers to help us fulfill the Great Commission given by Jesus. As a church, we are seeking the direction of the Lord and are always open to new avenues of ministry. The valley area is a challenging place to minister, but the greater the battle the greater the victory. We are determined to share the message of Christ with those around us. What is Salvation through Jesus Christ? We believe that we become a born again Christian by confessing our sins to God and believing upon Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died for our sins on the cross. Believers will desire to be baptised as an outward sign of their true conversion to God and make restitution for the things they have done wrong.
