Started as an employee at National Automotive Repair on April 27, 2015. Randy McLaughlin the owner referred Leah's Towing Company to move my big SNAP ON tool box to his shop National Automotive Repair. The owner/driver of Leah's Towing Clayton (Chuck) Barrett came to pick the tool box up at my residence. As he was loading the box on his truck he damaged the tool box by bending the caster under the tool box by pulling it up quickly with the wench instead of bumping the front wheels up slowly on to the bed with the wench. I followed (Chuck) with my box on his tow truck to National Automotive Repair. I spoke to the owner Randy McLaughlin when I got there about the situation with my tool box as soon as we arrived. The owner stated "we will deal with on Monday" which was my start date as an employee of Nationa Automotive Repair. On Monday, the Snap On dealer that I had dealt with before, I had him take a look at the damages and give me a repair estimate. After the estimate I contacted Leah's Towing spoke to "Chuck" who is the owner operator to let him know the dollar amount of the damages he caused, he told me he does not have INSURANCE, nor would he give me his insurance companies name. After talking to Chuck I went to speak to Randy who is the owner of National Automotive Repair. Randy stated "what do you want me to do about this"? I said you referred this tow company - Leah's Towing, which damaged my tool box which you were made aware of the damage on Friday and said you would deal with it on Monday and now you said what do you want me to do about this??? I said you referred this tow company that states they do not have insurance to move a tool box. Randys reply verbatim was "COWBOY UP, and figure it out yourself". Why would you want to take your vehicle to a business that operates this way and treats their employees like this on the FIRST day of employment?? I worked there for 4 hours and I can tell you first hand they are not a well oiled uniformed company. They use inferior parts and charge you for top quality parts. They use generic fluids and say they are top quality fluids.I showed up on Tuesday May 5th as agreed with Randy McLaughlin for the pay for the hours I worked, he refused to pay me. He stated that because he paid for Leah's tow bill he is not going to give my earnings that are due to me. I am out a minumum of 2000.00 to fix my tool box out of my pocket because of the no insurance issue and someone's recommendation. I do not recommend to any customers to bring their vehicle to National Automotive Repair thats claims 5 STAR service when in actuality they are a 1/2 STAR shop, or to use Leah' Towing. The people up front at National Automotive Repair do not know how to order quality parts or look up correct labor times per job, so you might be getting ripped off and not know it because you think you are taking your vehicle to a quality shop, which is far from the truth because their employees are untrained and uncertified technicians, which is one of the reasons I left on the day I started employment there.
