my sister in law told me about this man but was the worst mistake in my life, he never call you back, he lie too much about the case and he not even get good plea in my case... please guy don't waste you money and i really like to get people together and file a complian in court to get our money back..thanks

By far one of the worst experiences yet! To start off we paid Jose L. Mendoza an arm and a leg that he charged us! He didn't help not one bit! Cannot provide work his "done" was ALWAYS late to the court never answered his phone! Never returned calls! He lied about the plea! Said he had got a plea for 6 months when it wasn't even close! Don't waste your money on this man! He will not help you! Keep looking for another attorney who can better assist you!

I have referred many cases to you including you defending my own son and daughter as well as a few of my friends, their friends, and immediate family and I want you to know that everyone was always so thankful that you represented them in their time of need,and I know that when and if they were in need of you to defend them that you are the one they call right away! I was in a very difficult situation in 2008, which should have resulted in a long prison sentence of 5-10 years for my first offense. As soon as I was arrested I made a collect call to Jose Mendoza's office and immediatly got the assistance I needed. I was involved in a federal drug bust outside of the state, which made it that much more difficult for lawyers to have any faith that there was any hope. In a 3 day period Jose Mendoza got me home and after a long difficult battle he helped me beat my case and walk away with probation time only. A few weeks ago I contacted his office with a few questions about my case and restrictions and I got a call back personally from him answering all my questions. I have highly recommended him to all my family and friends since then and have complete confidence that he handles all of the cases that he gets in a very professional manner as he did with my case.

Poor communication throughout the whole case, lawyer could not produce what he had been working on when asked, and he did not believe on the case he was working on first of all. He insisted that a plea deal was the best and pre-judged on what was going to happen. He does not return your calls or update you on what's going on with your case. Save your money, look somewhere else!…

Attorney did not answer my brothers collect calls from jail neither and was on vacation while we where trying to reach him, we never knew when his trial dates where because he does not communicate. He also did many errors that extended the case. In the middle of the trial my brother fired him and went with a public defender that was way better than Jose L. Mendoza that we paid thousands of dollars for, and it worked out way better. My brother is out with no charges thanks to him firing the lawyer and not listening to his advice on the plea deal. I definitely don’t recommend. The public defender had more passion for his job, returned all our calls and believed in the case that caused us to win.

He was a bias attorney,never returned calls when he said,was suppose to nor did he visit his client in jail or take collect calls to speak to his client regarding his case. Attorney was paid cash in full maybe that was the big mistake...he didn't have to work to get paid he was paid up front for work that was never done!:/ He would say one thing then retrack what he said the next time basically he always lied...never the truth. He will dodge questions and say he's working on it which never happens or gets back to you about your ? and makes many excuse for when he comes up short. Shows up to court late,reshedules then is not fully prepared. Save your money and the headache!!!! Don't hire this attorney period Trust me i learned the hard way and i seen the red flags but he already had all my money. Basically his client ended up with life is prison when he could of ended up with five yrs or less or nothing!!! Stay away from attoney.....JOSE LUIS MENDOZA
