Started in 1945, the Greater Phoenix Urban League is a nonprofit organization implementing a range of education, health care and nutrition programs for children of Phoenix and surrounding areas. The group plans and designs a list of programs pertaining to child development, college preparation, job readiness, housing and small business support. Since inception, the organization has worked with individuals who confront hardships and help them improve quality of life. Its programs promote intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of children from ages 3 through 5.
