I don't know what happened to customer service at this Eddy's Quick Stop (19th Ave and Camelback), but someone did NOT teach these guys any skills. This one morning I just got off of work and upon approaching the store the clerk was yelling out the door to a previous customer and tell him to get off the property.

I had a broken finger and counted my change before entering the store. I was going to buy me two 16 ounce can of beers. There was 3 people ahead of me, the clerk was getting irritated at this guy who was paying for his items with change. So the clerk says "come on man, there is a line of customers behind you, why don't you use those dollar bills in your wallet". The customer didn't have that much change to count and didn't take long at all. The clerk was very rude to that customer, I guess the clerk thought that getting irritated and raising his voice at the customer was going to get the customer to move faster. Then it was my turn up, let me remind you I have a broken finger at that time and all my change counted out. So I put my 2 can of beers on the counter, whip out my change, put it out on the counter. The clerk says your short a dime and that my change was all dirty (I thought isn't all change dirty? Then thought maybe he means the change has germs?). I ignored the "dirty change" remark and told him I have the other dime in my pocket . I guess it took me to long to get the dime (2 seconds) because when I pulled the dime out of my pocket he already charged me for 1 can of beer and told me he was NOT going to sell me the other can of beer and handed me $0.90 cents (even when I was handing him the other dime). I told him "you have got to be kidding" !!! The clerk told me I'm holding up the line, I looked behind me and there was no one there, (that was SPOOKY!!). The only customers there were by the freezer and another customer walking away from the freezers. I figured Looney Tunes had a bad day that day because he didn't eat his Wheaties, you know water under the bridge. So, I went in there today to get some cigarettes and a bus pass hoping that Loony Tunes was NOT in there. Well Loony Tunes was there but another clerk served me. Loony Tunes recognized me and was just watching the transaction. Let me tell you what, one customer was in the store not even behind me yet. I must have asked more than one question to many about the cigarettes for the cashier to handle, he says "oh my God" looks around the store real fast, then looks to the left, then the right, left and right again. The clerk then says "your making me lose my customers"!! I was there for a total of 15 seconds. Like the bad customer service that is in that place, I guess I wasn't a customer at all to that clerk (HELLO!!) I just walked out. I don't know what is going on in that place but those two clerks act like they are "one taco shy of a combination plate"!!!!!!! Some clerks are good and some are just real BAD!! BAD!!! BAD!!!! BAD!!!!! BAD!!!!! I know two clerks at that store that seem always happy and at least has a smile. I like going into that store when they are working!!! Makes me want to go back to that store for my cigs or etc... I know I'm not the only one with bad experiences with Eddy's Quick Stop!!! It is unfortunate that some of the clerks make it very uncomfortable to be in the store, sometimes they have some good deals and is a very convenient store to go to. I'm going to stay away all together. I'd rather pay a tad higher price for something that I need at another convenient store with good customer service and at least cracks a smile.

I made a purchase of a bus pas...

I made a purchase of a bus pass and no it's not refundable by Valley Metro, but I thought this merchant would work with me because my pass is NOT activated. The pass can be used by someone else...if the merchant agreed to take it back. But, instead when I called Eddy's, I got hung up on by the first clerk. I called back and spoke with the manager who was nice at first, but then turned into a four year old, yelling at me that disputing the transaction was illegal and that this call was being recorded. (I hope it was, and I hope someone who has authority hears it, because I didn't get a single word in! I begged him to please listen to me because I wanted to work this out... he wouldn't stop talking over me! He was like dealing with a little four year old kid who keeps saying, 'blah, blah, blah' when an adult is trying to talk. I have NEVER experienced anything like that before! It was unbelievable.) He finally said that he wouldn't talk to me and hung up.



I won't go back to dispute it with him face to face like a friend suggested, because they have drug deals happening right out side the place.... I really don't feel like being shot to death over $55! The man was a childish jack hole and I'm trying really hard not hoping and praying that his karma is instant....
