I am very pleased with my experience here. Martin at Dyna-tronics could easily be named the "Reanimator"! He brought back to life an old but valued component that ordinary shops couldn't or wouldn't want to bother with. Replacement parts had ceased being available for years so Martin tore into the original part and replaced bits that were almost microscopic. I can't imagine other shops even knowing how to do this, let alone be willing to spend the time.

So my system is whole and working again - Hat's off to Martin and Dyna-tronics!

I took my tape reel to them and it was bitter sweet. it didnt work at all when i took it up there but they were a bit misleading and had my machine for about 2.5 months.my reel was very gummed up and needed repair from sitting forever so i took it to them and they told me it needed a teardown and rebuild.when i went to pick it up they had only gotten the play function to work which on this particular deck is useless without record.i took it back and no fuss they fixed the record, however when i inspected it i noticed that the electronics had not been adjusted at all!!!!!! and i had to adjust them myself after having a conversation with them where they told me that it needed much farther diagnosis and possibly more parts. that was wrong, it needed to be calibrated propperly which was one of the reasons it was taken there in the first place. how they can repair a board inside (which by the way was the same board with the adjustments that needed to be made) and not recalibrate a machine, align the heads, or fully test or make any adjustments is beyond me, i followed the service manual i was assuming that they were following, why did i have to dothe final repair on my own machine if this business is soo good. I was muchly hoping that i could write them a good review as they have a nice little service shop and have been there for near 60 years, but i am just not satisfied at all really. if your looking to get an amp fixed i guess they might be okay but if they cant check simple calibrations on a reel i doubt they would check them on a receiver or amp.

I have had 2 pieces of equipment repaired by them and they did a great job! The first was an old tube amplifier- it now works like new. The second was a surround sound reciever which now also works like new. These guys are great and very fairly priced. SOMETHING INTERESTING I found out the other day- my dad has been using these guys for years and has always been happy with their work.
