Superb service. I got this company through my home warranty and as such didn't expect much. What a surprise! They came out on the weekend at no additional charge to me and fixed the unit on the spot.

Here's the kicker, though -- I had already had an expensive quote from one of the larger companies in town (I won't say which one, but the owner likes to dress up and call himself "Melvin") and they had told me I needed a motor and a capacitor and it was going to cost $900 to fix it, which is why I placed a call into my home warranty company. The Consolidated tech found nothing wrong with the motor at all, the issue was thermostat. 6 weeks later and my unit is still running like a top, and I am only out $75 instead of $900 through the other company.

This company has earned a customer for life.

PLEASE SEE THE REVIEW DATED 6/24/2014 - I EXPERIENCED THE SAME EXACT SITUATION

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A WOMAN NAMED KATIE!!! My experience is the same as K.L. dated 6/24/2014. I actually feel bad for the technicians who work for this company they should seek employment with another company. This company is terrible! My suggestion is SOMEONE PLEASE refer Katie to an employment agency! SHE IS TERRIBLE!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!

Incompetent!!!

My business dealings with Consolidated were very disappointing to say the least. My air conditioning went out last month. The home warranty company contracted with Consolidated. It took them 3 days to come out and then they had to order a compressor. I was without air conditioning for 9 days. I live in Scottsdale and it is hot in the summer. After it was fixed I noticed that the air handler was making a strange noise. I called the warranty company and again Consolidated came out. They said it was just a vibration and nothing to worry about. Well, today I have no air again because the slight vibration just kept getting worse until it stopped working 3 weeks later. I suggest that you go to another company. The only positive was Katie in dispatch who did her best to be cheerful and helpful.Karen K., Scottsdale, AZ

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT use this Company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was given the run around on Expediting a work order thru a Home Warranty company. I give NO Stars. Our situation:It is 110 degrees out. No Air Conditioning. A family with kids and 2 dogs. I contacted the Home Warranty Company to schedule a work order to fix our air conditioner. I also called CMI and was given the run around. The First call to CMI , I was told that they didn't receive a work order from the Home Warranty Company. They said to maybe wait a few hours to have it come thru, because they aren't sure how long it takes for them to receive them. So, I waited. I called my second time a few hours later. I told the lady that we needed someone to come out tonight and fix our air, because it was so HOT and that I had called earlier and got the run around. She said that they can't come out till Monday...(keep in mind the day I was calling was a Friday). I said we cannot wait that long. I have a family and it's too HOT. The lady said, I needed to call the Home Warranty Company and have our work order Expedited. Frustrated, I called the Home Warranty Company and told them I need to Expedite my Work Order...I spoke to them briefly and they said "Okay, it's been expedited. Call back your company."I called CMI back again and told them that my work order was expedited. I spoke to a lady named, Katie. She said we didn't receive anything from them saying so. I said, I just called them and they said to call you and tell you. She said we don't have anything saying that and you could just be calling. I said I am not lying, and if this is your process, then why didn't the previous lady I spoke to at your company explain that the Home Warranty Company needed to call you to expedite, not me. She said I can't tell you that. I said I have been getting the run around from your company and this is my third call. Why should I have to be put out, can't you just call them on three way, to verify I just called them and got the ok? Katie said "No, it's not my job to make your phone calls". I said then, what is your job? It's definitely not Customer Service, because I am not getting any. I said fine, I will call and have them call you. I called back the Home Warranty Company again, and they called CMI to give the okay to have it Expedited. Katie, told the Home Warranty Company, that they can no longer come out on Monday, but only on Wednesday now. Really, Katie at CMI??? All because you didn't like me speaking up to you??? I told you we had kids and dogs. It's a 110 degrees out and we have no air. What a Great company that will let kids and animals suffer in the heat with no air conditioning. I told the Home Warranty Company, Katie at CMI is just doing that, because I spoke up to her. The lady at the Home Warranty Company said, "don't worry, we will find a company that is willing to help you out, in this emergency situation." I called Katie back at CMI and asked her why she declined our work order and was five minutes prior available for Monday but now five minutes later can't come until Wednesday? She nastily said, "because that is our only availability now". I told her I hope she can sleep well at night doing that to children. She hung up on me. So, I would NOT recommend this company!!!!!!!!! Any company that is willing to do that to a Family, is not someone I would give any business too. Thankfully the Home Warranty Company was able to find another company that was able to help us.P.S.I Never write reviews, but under the circumstances...I just cannot believe that a company would do that to a family. It came from ONE person, KATIE, but she is representing the Company and what a HORRIBLE Representation!!!

Really poor performance

I had a complete ac install be this company back in 2002. I had numerous issues with them re shoddy quality control on the install of all metal ducts. They tried to sneak in flex duct when they thought I wouldn't notice. I did. I watched them very closely. I am an degreed engineer and I understand conversions to lesser quality goods to increase profit. There was quite a bit of that. After the completion of the install the condinsate discharge lines leaked in the attic because of improper gluing of PVC joints. Water leaked on the ceiling drywall . Lots of damage. They assumed no responsibility. The install was in excess of $12000. It would be wise to avoid doing business with them.

BEWARE- CRIMINALS, DO NOT INVITE TO YOUR HOME!!

(INCIDENT CUT DUE TO WORD LIMIT, EMAIL NETGETUP@GMAIL.COM FOR FULL STORY)...they always arrive late IF they bother to make the appointment- the tech His name was Chris A., the same one who came out 8 days prior. I actually invited this criminal into my house- and talked calmly about my concerns with his previous visit, namely cutting into the Duct Return unit unnecessarily, installing a bad motor and not properly testing the unit. He still didn't believe the motor was bad, so I agreed to accompany him up to the roof. As we walked into the front yard and he set up his ladder, I explained what AirTech had done over the weekend and how the coils and freon were now properly done, although the motor still needed replacement and now we needed an new Return Duct unit since he cut into it. turned around, GRABBED ME AROUND MY NECK with one hand and POINTED a screwdriver drill directly in my face like a gun!! I called 911, he ACTUALLY ASSAULTED ME ON MY OWN PROPERTY !!

Horrible Customer Service

This used to be a very good shop that I've dealt with for years - Purchased a "Preferred Customer Extended Warranty" on my unit they installed in 96 - Have been without AC for 6 days now and keep getting the run around. They have gone downhill since owner 'retired' - Every day it's the same story... someone is scheduled to be out 9-1, no wait - 1-4 wait..no thats not right... 4-7... Oh sorry... we can't get to you today... maybe tomorrow. Time for 12 on your side! Wouldn't recommend them to anyone...

Poor Service and They will screw You

After a week of waiting for them to replace my a/c compressor thru my home warrenty they told me the day before they were to do the work that it was an additional $185 to haul off the compressor. I called 5 places and they were 3 times the money. After calling back, they told me to "do what I had to do". So run away from this shyster company.
